Default near death experience

so today after football practice i was sitting on a bench in front of the brand new gym waiting for my dad to come when this old guy starts driving towards the car-pool circle. he's driving normally, so i don't pay any attention to him. then he slams on the gas an jumps the curb and rushes downhill towards the gym. at this point, i'm kinda scared and wondering what the hell is he doing? then he starts going faster, cuts the wheel sharply and crashes through the doors of the gym. I jump off the bench and start running away from the gym. i slip on the concrete(i was wearing cleats) and as i am falling i see the truck spin out and slam into the glass wall behind the bench i was just sitting on. shards of glass fly over my head as the truck stops. (it hit a metal trashcan) i get up and walk farther away and wait for the varsity team to come with cell phones and call police and rescue vehicles. Apparently the old guy had a prosthetic leg and it had gotten caught on the gas pedal. he was there to pick up his grandson on the football team. now he's at a hospital getting treated for shock.

I assumed it was going to be one of those "I got hit in the face with a ball and my nose was gushing..." stories, you know, one of those boring ones. Low and behold, I was interested. Crazy ass story. Wish I could've seen it.

Since you didn't get hurt, that's pretty funny.

Wow.

What a fool that man was. Steer somewhere else or hit the brake with your other foot, anyone?

Wow. Good thing you're ok! That's so scary. I don't know what I would have done if that happened to me.

I would have just sat there.

But then again, I have truck resistant armor.

So you did the right thing.
