TWG CLII: Another Sleepless Night - GAME THREAD

warning: this town read on roundbox is incredibly selfish and solely based on how he is reading me this game

there are other things that he's done like the reaction to cedo voting me that I thought were towny but there have also been weird things which have left me with him at null until now

let me first start off by saying that I think I'm a very easy player to pocket. a lot of my reads have at least some basis on how people are reading me. I've actually found a bunch of wolves who were pushing on me and trying to twist my words so I tend to inherently think people who are scumreading me are scummy, at least initially. conversely, I tend to feel better about people who are townreading me.

in the game where DBP won as SK (me, rzr, roundbox, DBP final 4), roundbox was the last wolf. He pocketed me that game hard (roundbox why ). I was playing well in terms of getting townread and he hopped on that townread wagon, mixing it in with the rest of his reads (and the progression felt pretty natural too so props for that).

compare this to the freeze wars game (where I was wolf lol). Yes, small sample size, but given how I am as a player I think this is a decent read. In that game at some point I questioned him saying something along the lines of "how do I know you're town, I'm not really sold on you". His response was something like "I pocketed you really hard in that freeze wars game and I actually scumread you initially that time". I looked back and that was true.

Now in this game I feel like he's interacting with me with that same town perspective. He starts off with this post about me saying I look a bit scummy for naming him in relation to the n0 kill.

fwiw this does not put me even close to scumreading you for a big reason people still have yet to figure out this phase: WE STILL HAVE OVER 24 HOURS IN THE PHASE FOR PEOPLE TO MAKE POSTS. I don't think there's anybody that has posted enough or had enough thread exposure for me to read them properly.

this falls more in line with his town play, at the time I thought I was doing alright so I would have bought a townread from him super easily and thought "wow, thanks for reading me correctly", but he's being cautious here and I like that.

this read then progresses to not wanting to lynch me due to WIM which I said earlier I can appreciate and seems pretty natural

this is the unselfish part of the read, and the towniest thing he's done this game, at least that I've seen

Man this game has gotten depressing. Botchi still hasn't posted anything really, same with cedolad, and there's a lack of talk from just about everyone including me (except for sunfan & AA, that shit is still flying).

Regarding the visitor system, I've tangoed with it, I did the math on it that you never showed, and lost on it. My only possible concern with it was that you could be manipulating it (which was me being disgruntled when I was suggesting issues near EOD) but you addressed that in saying that people can pick where they can go, which flew over my head because it was EOD, so I've got no quarrels with it.

Here's a vote on Botchi until he posts.

I'd vote on AA but I would feel like trash for doing so because the last 10 or more pages of AA/sunfan stuff feels like actual T/T stuff, and it's playing with my instinctive gut vote that I would otherwise have on AA.

I'd vote on Charu but the only reason I have to be upset at him right now is that he still thinks going after roundbox is a good idea which I dislike, but I don't see that happening unless there's a random lynch train for it. He hasn't said anything else that looks or feels glaringly scummy to me.

I'd vote on sunfan but there's a lot of stuff in his reads list that I also agree with for similar reasons (except for his botchi and Xelnya reads. Xel drives a good point in not townreading someone so early. And if you look at other reasons besides 2 of his posts, there's goddamn nothing, and it's only getting worse fmpov) and it gives me hope that he's for realsies.

You know what, sunfan was right. If this was a sunfan/Charu/RB game, town is royally fucked.

Honestly the thing that's making me feel off about sunfan is that I reminded him about how he always reads me wrong, and he was like "you're right I always am wrong!!" And continues to act as if he forgot all about that. It honestly should be a real concern for him since he is more often wrong about me than not and it's almost as of healing doesn't care about if he is wrong.

I was reading sunfan wolfy early in the game. For right now, and the good losting hes done i want to move him to a scumlean and not a definite scum. Even though AA has been playing big time i still plan on lynching him tonight.
I like gold stinger as a strong town.
Storn is tough for me. I see what sunfan is saying but idk if i can follow that reasoning.
