voice that isn't yelling or shouting "I did not see that coming!"

It was good, but I wasn't blown away by it.
The transitions got really annoying after awhile, with all the old-school transitions like blinds, wipes, and closing circle. Just annoying after a bit. The best part was how Anakin's eyes got all evil. First blue, then darker, darker, and finally, just a creepy red. That was my favourite part of the movie - watching his eyes change, and watching him kill his own wife. Genius!

He basically choked her till she was unconscious. She died because she lived for and loved Anikin. The medical robot specifically said that she was "losing the will to live." She couldn't bear the pain so she used her last ounce of will power to give the names of her children and tell Obi-Wan that there was still a string of hope.

A new hope, may be? I just saw it yesterday, so I'm a bit late, but I still feel the need to say something.
My friend complained that the story was terribly written. Basically he said they should have acted out their feelings and shown them rather than outright saying things like "This is the happiest day of my life" and "I feel so helpless" (which didn't make any sense at all, in context). I didn't mind it too much, but I saw some problems with the movie myself. One big thing was that the lightsaber battles were very hard to watch. They zoomed way in on people and you could just see flashing sabers back and forth. Especially in the Obi Wan vs Anakin duel where they both had blue light sabers, it was really hard to tell what the hell was happening sometimes. @jazz: The same transitions have been used in every movie. The difference is this one didn't do them in a cool way like the old ones did. I always liked how the transitions worked in the first 3, where somebody would walk by and the transition would line up with them, or somebody (Hans, I think) got picked up and as he moved up it wiped to the next scene. Because I had just seen ep5 on Tuesday, I had this fresh in my mind and felt the wipes in ep3 were kinda random. About the Mace Windu thing...I thought his death was cool. I mean, he beat the guy that YODA couldn't even beat later on. He whooped the guy's ass totally. Of course, may be Sidius was just letting him win so Anakin would feel sorry for him, but still, it was a good show of purple lightsaber ownage. And I think the most disappointing deaths ever in Star Wars were the deaths of Jango and Boba Fett. Jango just gets beheaded suddenly and Boba just kinda falls, IIRC. Pretty lame if you ask me. But overall, I think ep3 was great. Of course, I'm only in it for the explosions, and ep3 had plenty.

Well not really, if you think about it. That same person said that the force is evenly distributed among people, so Yoda would be at his strongest then since all the other Jedis died and all the force left would be just for those few. Yoda in that final battle wasn't nearly as cool as Yoda in the ep2 battle, which was kinda disappointing.
EDIT: Oh yeah...sup Afro. Stop being grounded!

The best was when Yoda knocked the two Royal Guards unconscious with a wave of his hand. The whole theater applauded for that.
And when Yoda beheaded the Order 66 guards. We applauded for that, too. Who doesn't like Yoda? |

Did anyone else have a really strong urge to yell "It's just a flesh wound!"
when Anakin got his legs chopped off?

Best movie ever. Better than all the Lord Of The Rings. Better than all the Harry Potter's. Yeah, my theater laughed when R2 zapped the droid in the beggining. But they didn't do anything else. Kinda kiddie for a theater of all adults. I didn't do anything.
I sensed Pride. |

I hated it! The droids saying "uh oh" and everything... it was like a kids movie... and that general guy with all the arms... why does he cough if he doesn't need air to breathe?
Ahh. Poor Anakin though... actually felt sorry for him.

A concept you seem to be missing: General Grievous is NOT a robot. He's simply comprised mostly of synthetic parts. PS The theatres are still playing it? I have it on VHS already.
