Oh man, this movie was sweet, although I couldn't help but laugh at the most inappropriate spots just because of the trailer subbed in 1337.
Uh, because spoilers suck I'll refrain from any more discussion. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

This is a true story of how Chardish probably could have seen Episode 3 today, but pansied out.
Chardish enters theater to buy pre-order tickets. Chardish notes on the screen that one of the day's showings says STAR WARS 7:00 and then quickly goes away. Chardish: "Two for Star Wars, Friday night at 7:00 on the digital screen." Clerk: "$18." Chardish's brain: "No way in hell would I pay $18 for a movie that wasn't Star Wars." Chardish: "Here you are." Clerk: "Here you go, down the hall to your left. Enjoy the show." Chardish's brain: "What? ENJOY THE SHOW? Why is he giving me directions to the theater when I bought tickets for Friday?" Chardish stands and ponders these things. His tickets say "Friday," but even now he cannot help but wonder if he could have seen the movie today. I wanted to stick around the place until 7:00 and then call off work (at 9:00) if i actually got in and if there actually was a showing. "Yeah, hi. Sorry boss. I'm not feeling too well..." (STAR WARS FANFARE FILLS SCREEN) (THUNDEROUS APPLAUSE) "...I put in a DVD to try to help me relax..." I think tomorrow (my day off) I'm going to stop by the theater, lurk around and loiter until I've ascertained if there are any secret showings, and then attempt to buy a ticket to that showing. |

But yeah, I would have seen it last Thursday, but Lucas pulled the prints he had sent out last Wednesday because he didn't like an editing job. Sad day. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

I can't believe it's all finished, though. 27 years, and all 6 are finally made. I've been a fan my whole life, and I'm with shox... I'm kinda emotionally drained now.
Then I saw his Zangief sig and laughed, so I'm okay again.

Same here Laharl. When I saw it at midnight, I felt sorry for the Jedi Younglings when Anakin kills them all at the Jedi temple. I almost cried. Seriously I almost did.

It was also pretty funny when Padme and Anakin were just looking at each other in complete silence, my friend popped open a can of Mountain Dew(smuggled).

Its not like it was a surprise... you KNOW ep3 has to be a downer. Same way ep5 is.
What I want to know is, why does the Death Star take like 20 years to build, yet the 2nd Death Star is almost finished not 2-3 years after the 1st is destroyed. Also, Whorli wants to know why Grievous has a breathing problem. We see he has a heart, but... lungs?

Question #1: Technology man, get with the times.
Question #2: I'd refer to the books, or maybe even the Clone Wars shorts on CN. Otherwise, no idea.

I thought of that, the technology... and, I just don't buy it. BS that in 20 years they can improve technology and efficiency that much. We aren't talking a society like ours where modern technology is only a few hundred years old. They have had it for thousands. And, its more a matter of manpower than technology, I'd imagine.
We could go into the debate from Clerks about it being a work hazard to have been an outside contractor on the Death Star II, but... I'l refrain.

Star Wars Episode III is amazing. When Darth Vader is on the table and you finally hear him breathe, that was awesome. By far the best of the new 3 movies, Empire Strikes Back is still on top though.

My entire band class is going friday at 11pm.
That's right, 200+ people, all of which are nerds . It will be awesome regardless of how good the movie is. |
