As for ideas: -a segment or miniseries where someone recaps and pays homage some of FFR's history? They could talk about past tournaments, notable rises through the ranks, controversy, significant and memorable users who've contributed to keep this site alive. -You could have a token segment where someone drops hints and tips on how to acquire various tokens and skill tokens (kind of like achievement hunter, but for FFR). -Arch0wl -A weekly news segment where someone can talk about what files have been added, any changes to the site and new artist permissions. Even try to promote their music a little bit at the end of a video by saying "check'em out on soundcloud" or whatever; as a thank you for agreeing to let us use their music. I dunno, just throwing ideas out there~ Last edited by Mourningfall; 09-19-2015 at 06:03 AM.. |

Re: In Need of FFR Official YouTube Channel Contributors
maybe a little code in the description of certain vids users can enter once to gain however many credits? nothing big just a little incentive for new users to at least visit every link

Lot of really awesome ideas coming up, thanks everyone.
This is actually something I definitely think we should consider doing. |

Re: In Need of FFR Official YouTube Channel Contributors
Put it somewhere in the videos. Have the main person of the video say "before I forget, it's time for the credit code! uwhgeui3 is the code."
It will give people more incentive to watch the videos instead of go description hunting, get what they want, then leave. tbh I think mutliplayer colors should be brought back and you can give enough credits for one day of a color for multiplayer. Or enough for prochat colors works too but I don't personally like prochat colors because all you can do there is chat but in mp you can play and chat

I'd imagine a video to be MLG style.

Re: In Need of FFR Official YouTube Channel Contributors
I wake up and read this thread and still love the idea of it.
I'm trying to think of ways to cater to newer players and I have a few jots down of possible things: -Encourage new players to use profile chat (May be able to incorporate it on the Front Page?) -Revive Multiplayer. Tweak the level system also helps newer players. -Utilize the "New to FFR?" Thread as a meet and greet from Staff, Players, and Content producers. Lastly, I had an idea for a workshop. I wanted to see if it is possible to create a workshop that players could use a form submission to add in their personal tips and tricks for playing. Having as much input on techniques for playing the game will surely help those who come here looking to improve at the game. We have also lately been having an influx of Osu players joining FFR and it might be possible (For those who play both) to have a conversion guide similar to what was done with Stepmania in the past. Just shooting ideas out there! Edit: Migrating new users to participate in the TCG is also a good idea because it incorporates the community, the game, and a few external sources (IE: some games they use as challenges).

Re: In Need of FFR Official YouTube Channel Contributors
I know we've tried to bring back merchandise multiple times in the past couple years, but if they are ever truly brought back, could we implement credits as a form of currency?
Something on the lines of X amount of credits = X amount of dollars for a discounted price. Doing so could also bring back challenges and tournament activity for people who really need the extra credits to afford something they want |

Re: In Need of FFR Official YouTube Channel Contributors
Honestly all this stuff is kinda outside what this thread is about.
I don't know if I can really be the one to give an okay on something like credits for currency on merch and don't even know where we can go with merch. I've been trying to get a shirt design for some time as it is to raise funds for events. Edit: I can try to make as much stuff come alive for people that's within my capability, but I don't want to make any promises without knowing what's going on with the higher ups. I will make a doc that has all these ideas in it so none of them just end up disappearing. Lets try starting out with the youtube channel and then see what else we can get going. If anyone wants to make me a shirt design I'd be really really happy.

Re: In Need of FFR Official YouTube Channel Contributors
Potential idea, but this is a long shot. What about showcasing other aspects of the site? Things like ProChat, MP, Official Tournies, the TWG community. As well, maybe showing off FFRers known elsewhere (like Halogen and Etienne for osumania). Sorry for the lame explanation.
Basically showcasing what else we have to offer aside from the base game. |

I'm not sure about featuring players at other games since this is kinda more to promote FFR in a way, but then I guess on the flip side if osu players see other osu players on FFR it might make them give it a go. Definitely something to consider. |

Working on a doc right now to get everything kinda neat and in one place
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...it?usp=sharing If there's something on here you see that you'd like to do, use the form in the OP to let me know. Yoshl had talked to me a little already about doing some ddream tutorials.

Re: In Need of FFR Official YouTube Channel Contributors
I have a bunch of video topic ideas if this takes off.
Largely related to gameplay tutorials and some file/patterning deconstruction that I think a good chunk of players would appreciate if I'm able to articulate myself well enough, but some other potentially interesting things as well. |

Showcasing new functionalities or development stages would be a great way to generate awareness for the current and returning userbase.
