![]() But really; I find remakes of the songs better than the originals most of the time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMtlLpYcCAQ 4:38:44 video of the entire OST for anyone interested. It was an older era of music; it translates better as full orchestral sound tracks tbh.

They would have never made re-makes, OST's, re-mastered editions etc if the initial music wasn't good.
a lot of re-mastered editions & Orchestrated compositions give the songs justice though. Last edited by gold stinger; 01-29-2015 at 03:59 AM.. |

Claws are better to FFR

^ Yes to all of those, especially to Monkey Ball. FF7 would've also been my pick, but since it has been said. I will say FF13 series music has best soundtrack.

Yeah, I put Monkey Ball Deluxe because both SMB1 and 2 have amazing soundtracks and Deluxe contains both SMB1 and 2 levels and soundtracks so there ya go! :P

Because Final Fantasy X has the far superior soundtrack.

FEZ indefinitely. I've really enjoyed Hotline Miami's as well.
Final Fantasy X was definitely a top of the line one. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 had an amazing OST.

The first metroid prime I feel had the BEST music by far. Ambient and surreal, the music is still my favorite of any game today.
I mean, just LISTEN to this: VVVVV EDIT: We should probably post OST's of the music from the games we've played and think have the best music. imo.

If we're going by personal preferences, mine is Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. May seem like a cop out picking a rhythm game, but that's my personal favorite.

Could go on more to agree that Metroid Prime (the first) has an incredible ST.
Also from personal knowledge, Suikoden 2 had a great ST (though the problem with PSone soundtracks is that if you don't take pristine care of your discs, then you'll lose the ST when playing the game). Request thread name to be changed to "Which video games have the most enjoyable soundtracks?" rather than what it is right now because nobody can dignify what VGST was the "best". EDIT: Actually Threads of Fate had an incredible first level song and it gets better from there.

I loved SSX for Xbox 360. I'm not a huge fan of dubstep, but something about shredding to that music when you're doing death defying shit hundreds of feet up in the air was awesome, for me anyway.
