LOL. you list all these different areas of skill....all of which it takes to be a D6+ player. Not to mention your good at all of these at pretty quick BPM's so you also have really good speed as well. I'm done arguing, your scores more than prove my case.

jumpstream. jumpgluts. key things that are abundant in higher leveled files.
trills are controlled alternating jacks. rolls are double trills. i'm good at structured patterns, which is why i can score so well on crap like kono spoon also, are you insinuating that i should be d7? lmfao you've lost your mind (Also i have no speed i can't do reality even)

Re: DC's 1st Post-Official Team Tournament Extravaganza
Sorry for the absence in all of this recently... work has been an absolute nightmare, and I've been kind of hermitting the entire discussion. Not on purpose, but to silently think over everything that has been discussed and rechecking with people on certain divisions. At the end of the day, it's up to me to make the final decisions on placements. Maybe it's just because I have a better idea of how the tournament will pan out with these specific individuals, but I honestly am OK with all division placements as is, and won't be changing anyone. Several reasons;
For starters, this is a TEAM tournament. It is very hard for a individual's effort to directly affect the entire team, as well as everyone else in the competition. Not to spoil too much information, but literally almost half of the Rounds in this thing you will NOT be directly opposing the other teams; rather, you are simply doing the best you can in your own team and increasing your own credits. And as a result of needing 7 scores for your total tally, I'd say that someone being underplaced a little and who has minimal effort in AAAing things doesn't have nearly as bad of an impact on the OVERALL TOURNAMENT as someone who will struggle to get under 20 on everything the entire time. This is the reason why up to this point I have been OK with an occasional "sandbagger" on each team (and EVERY team can point to at least one person who is definitely in the top of the tier for that division). Furthermore, I feel "potential" doesn't necessarily prove that you can actually do it; I might have a few random SDGs on 70+s but there is no way in hell I could ever be considered D5 with my actual consistency in the difficulty range. Likewise, outlying scores simply cannot define your entire rating. Zageron has an SDG on Club, and has unlocked Oni on AIM Anthem (a 71 mind you, WAY above the 66 cutoff). His next best AAA is a 50. Does he honestly deserve to be D5 because of those other 2 scores? You say that YoshL for instance has several scores that would put him in the D6 conversation, but in that exact same screenshot posted I see him struggling to even break 60 goods on certain things the exact same level as his "D6" scores. If my choices or RNG doesn't hit one of the comparatively very few songs he's actually good at, his team is sunk for the most part, and this goes for every other team too. To be fair this affects everyone at times but it is incredibly detrimental to people overplaced. (For the record, Prawn's division placement tool still lists him as D5.) On the other extreme, AJ is likely going to AAA every single thing he plays in this tournament; that doesn't guarantee his TEAM takes 1st place at ALL. Another big factor as to why these placements are going to be OK is a reason you don't know about but I do: the credit distribution. As mentioned before, although other credits will indeed be given out for overall performance on the Rounds, half of the time I am just GIVING you free credits for simply playing your songs. At my best approximation right now, the worst team in this tournament will probably walk away with 40k credits, which is pretty decent for dead last. At the end of the day, this is supposed to be a more casual tournament experience, not some cut-throat intense affair. And quite frankly, it's my tournament. I understand this probably isn't going to go over well with some people, but I am absolutely convinced that a few people who have the possibility of being underplaced will not ruin this for everyone.

Re: DC's 1st Post-Official Team Tournament Extravaganza
Can you guys please just stop flooding this thread with your Yoshl arguement? D_C already said his word on the matter and it's his tournament so if you don't agree with it then PM him or just deal with it. I'm sick of seeing practically the same post from you guys over and over.

Re: DC's 1st Post-Official Team Tournament Extravaganza
Interrupting drama to post team banner. (Really, if D_C's decision is based on everything he's said about the structure of this tournament -- and he should know about it better than any of us -- I think everyone should be fine. And if for some reason that's not the case and a single player's performance is enough to sway the outcome of a team significantly... well, then me being in D7 would cancel out YoshL's advantage and be detrimental to our team anyway, right? rofl)
But yeah, still looking for a D2 player. If anyone's interested in joining us, please let us know -^^-

I'm still sad that Team 'Cute Anime Boys Are Ruining My Life' ran into a snag when thinking of potential members.
