Isn't it because they boost your mmr by a whole division during promos? even if you're platinum and you have a bronze 1 with you, you'd still be vs'ing primarily Diamond right?

at least that's what I've assumed going into promos

divisions = V, IV, III, II and I
tier = Bronze, Silver, Gold, etc.

you can't duo with anyone one tier above you anyway....

i'm talking about the promos between each division that requires you to play a best of 3... it's dumb and unnecessary and i'm glad they finally realize it was a terrible idea from the start - however it makes more sense to keep them when advancing tiers

I know what divisions/tiers are and their names/numbers as well as 3-win promos and 5-win promos.

I don't play ranked enough to know you can't duo with someone in a higher tier because ranked is poison.

This third SSW vs. SSB game is...... very disappointing to watch. Not very exciting at all :/

SSW is just ridiculous, I was expecting the outcome from game 1 honestly.

Also, Our local Cinemas are showing the World Finals, so depending on who's playing then i'll probably go. Pretty hype.
