Looking at other news sources of this guy, I don't think there was anything else that could have prevented this.

Guy was delusional for years, according to news source that claim as such. If that's the case, don't think any law or what have you to make guns more restricted would help.

This was the same ideology that a lot of people used after school shootings & theater shootings that happened in the united states, and yet the laws for guns were contested even then. I'm thinking the same will be done in Canada if it becomes more of an issue or people make it a bigger issue, and right now, it's a pretty big issue from how far the coverage spread for it in such a small amount of time.

I was talking with a dude on another site in the general area of the shooting (270 Ryan Rd, he's around 200 Evergreen Drive) and he's military, so he's getting ready to roll. Told me the shooter is using an assault rifle with full metal jacket rounds, hence why the RCMP commandeered armored bank trucks.

there's nothing confirmed though. whether he's ex military or not would clear up a lot of stuff but nothing is certain.

Our morning radio jockeys were talking to a friend who moved to Moncton from Regina a while ago and lives "south of the river." She mentioned a bunch of the things that kommi and SCWolf already said, but I'm surprised that 9 hours after that call there's still nothing ugh.

it's been over 24 hours. last sighting was at 7am this morning.

he could be dead or long gone. but they rarely have an escape plan. it won't be much longer.

we're running off to St-Anselme outside Dieppe. Staying with friends.

i still shiver when i think of the 290 high school students whom died last month after a ship capsized off the coast of korea
