We are not saying that Youtube and Google are synonymous at all.

Let's use an example, an example of say, empires.

Let's say Empire A takes over Empire B. Everything owned by B is now owned by A. Doesn't matter if it was bought/obtained before or after the taking over, it's still owned by A.
