serioustalk: they don't do the third games for remakes

They also might just be done doing third games altogether. After Black and White, it looks like they'd rather re-use the world/engine/assets to make a sequel than to make an enhanced re-release. I can't say I blame them. Hardcore fans will buy both versions of each, meaning 4 games total, and casual fans will be able to appreciate a new storyline more than the same exact one repeated.

LEGENDARIES can used by like .01% of the community properly.

Everytime I run into a legendary team I just run Crobat and Azumarill. Confuse one, play rough the other. I don't even need to belly drum because wrecking ball

one and two were both riddled with game breaking flaws and glitches, and you dont even need rom hacks to access them

i'd argue that the current gen is the best because any glitches can be patched

I'm just gonna say I really dislike the "version" stuff in the Pokemon games. I mean, I get the reason and how amazing it is at the marketable level (because people who love to collect would go nuts about using two games to catch "every single Pokemon" ever made.)

It's just... give me the version that offer's it all at once dangit!!!

Who named these games? First of all, I wouldn't have picked "Alpha and Omega". It feels odd to call the games "First and Last". The previous generation got "Heart and Soul", a pleasant-sounding phrase, but "Alpha and Omega" brings to mind a completely different set of mental images (superiority and inferiority, religious meanings) which I don't think fit at all.

To go with the Team Magma and Team Aqua thing, I definitely would have gone with "(Ash/Molten) Ruby and Storm Sapphire". And Generation III did introduce overworld weather.

But we have "Alpha and Omega" and "Ruby and Sapphire". So it should be "Alpha Ruby and Omega Sapphire", right? This is backwards. "Heart Gold and Soul Silver" worked on every level, but this ... I'm guessing they gave "Alpha" to "Sapphire" because of the similar sounds, which makes for a lot of "aph" in one game name, haha. The consonance here I don't think sounds as good as "Soul Silver" though.

But there's no use talking about that now, so, welp. Anyway.

Gen III is the only one I don't have physical copies of. Will probably get one of the new ones if I have friends talking me into it at who would play with me at the time. Berries berries berries berries.

I hope they don't bring back the Battle Frontier in its original glory. Yeah, Salamence finally gets a chance to use that beastly attack stat thanks to the damage split, but the Factory was damn near impossible to gold-plate in Platinum. I think like, what, only 10 guys in all of Smogon have pulled it off?

And no, I still haven't worked up the courage to try for the Ability Symbol again. The nerves are just too much by the time I hit the fifth wave.

it may have to do with the two legendaries being the first pair in the series that tie into the world's creation

alpha and omega have been used to describe the abrahamic god for many years
