I could go make a good chart out of it eventually (fun song!) but if anyone else wants to step it, it's all theirs.

But a big thing that I mentioned was that the beginning sync could be adjusted a little bit since that portion of the song, in comparison to the length rest of the file, takes up a decent length. Concerning Our Final Mourning (different file from another stepartist): Never ever put a color gallop like that in a beginner file that has slow 4th notes. This is also something else to point out that's very important to the judging process. I could slap together a slow file in 5 minutes and submit it. There is such a lack of effort involved that it is basically begging for simfile artist points. Next batch I should submit 5 <1 tps files and complain that none of them got accepted even if they had "perfect PR and layering". You can't just rely on technicality to get a file through.

Middie: if you're going to defend your file, you need to learn to do it in a way that's not condescending. Telling a really detailed judge that they paid absolutely no attention to your chart is extremely rude.
I completely understand trying to make an extremely simple chart, but your chart has an inherent flaw in the fact that you're using something in the background in comparison to the really prevalent melody in the foreground to form your chart. I admit, I didn't realize that you were following the bass, but that's because you missed quite a few audible bass notes, so I assumed I was wrong. Again, it felt like you were just generalizing an extremely easy pace. A good majority of the accented notes have a note on the bass a 32nd immediately before it. Even with that, you have multiple areas in the chart where the player is waiting three and a half seconds just to see a single note that follows something (something not very prominent, nonetheless). Your pitch relevancy can also be easily addressed, multiple times. With a 44 note chart, you really don't have a lot of room for error. Last edited by TC_Halogen; 02-4-2014 at 12:49 PM.. |

- While the beginning plays fine the color notes make much more sense if recolored to 16ths
i prefer it as color notes personal choice. - 11.83: This part is offsync with ghost notes, 13.23 is where the 16ths start. fixed, i dont know how that happened - That's quite some rigid patterning what - 49.78: This 48th gallop is way too fast, the sound is closer to the 16th on 49.68 its suppose to be three notes but i left it at two so it wouldnt be crowded. i chose the 48th because at 100bpm it plays more like a sweep than the 16th would have. - 94.07: Why did you step 16th jumpgluts here instead of 32nd stream? because then you wouldve asked me why i stepped it as 32nd stream when the intensity of the sound doesnt justify the difficulty. having jumps keeps the tension without adding an absurd difficulty spike. this is my way of not making a terrible difficult file. - 112.37: This area of the file is very very rigid, it's noticeable with those hidden jacks it plays better and feels fuller than either just stepping the bass kicks or just stepping the melody. i could make the patterns flow better but then i would be pretty limited to what i can do. and cosidering that this stays pretty consistently difficult there is no reason to tone down the rigidity of the patterns. - 127.32: This triplet was misplaced, it's a 3/64th triplet starting on the 8th note at 127.27 - Why was the BPM set to 150 here? It's causing a 32nd and 64th note syndrome problem i dont think anyone is going to notice or care that the triplet consists of 32nds instead of 3/64ths. secondly, are you sure you know what x note syndrome is? unless you want to know why it isnt at 300bpm and if thats the case then it should be pretty obvious why. - 141.46: Same jumpglut idea mentioned at 94.07 same explenation as above - 167.10: Careful of the one handed minitrill usage here, 167.85 leading into 168.08 is disgusting (it also forms a staircase) i felt this was fine - 237.75 would have been an excellent place to stop, this slow part drags on heavily it only drags if you dont like the song. if i couldve found a way to cut the song without having it sound like a cut i would have. if there is anyone that would rather cut songs than step them in their entirety it would be me. - 266.91, 267.28: These were placed a 32nd too early fixed - 282.94: All this empty space? I would seriously consider the suggestion of cutting at 237.75 because this file turns into a snoozefest after not going to happen. - 295.11: It's 5/32nds, not 3/16ths. There should be 4 single notes instead of 3 before the jump. 4 12ths - 297.46: This gallop is fine, the next gallop starts on the 32nd at 297.69, and the last gallop starts on the 16th at 297.92 fixed - 325.48: Same jumpglut idea mentioned at 94.07 same as before - 358.36: Why hands all of a sudden? this also creates a 16th minijack. Not a pleasant surprise. its the end of the song and the big bang before it ends. - 180.23 to 204.00 is empty, then there's a 32nd trill, 210.37 to 262.41 is a lot of empty space, etc. It's not worth it to step the 200 BPM 16th parts 5 minutes in.[/b] its like you didnt even bother listening to the song - The patterning in this file could also use some work. more enjoyable than any of your files. |

I enjoyed Twirling Star but obviously I was still too lenient to overlook all that shit you stepped WV! No matter how much bold text you type, it won't make you a better stepper. You should do like me and leave.

Remove Our Final Mourning [Beginner] from the batch. It's obvious with this group of imbeciles it won't ever see the light of the game, or proper judging.

replace book with stepfile, and editor with judge/critic/someone to look over your file, writing with stepping, etc. etc. etc. other than editors being professional vs. judges being merely vocational and voluntary. |

It's okay to be yourself.

I received a comment from the judges saying that my stepfile feels more like a pad chart than a keyboard chart. Does that mean no triples or quads are used, or does it mean something completely different?
