The whole language thing is about exclusion.
If it's just a conversation between two people, then it's no big deal what language you use. It's more of a problem if you're hanging out in a group and suddenly 2+ people start talking in a different language. You force the non-speaker to just stand there like an idiot. Because they don't know what you're saying, you've effectively forced them out of the conversation. |

1. When you do someone several helpful favors but then when you ask him or her to help you with something there's always excuses.
2. People who have no accountability that try blaming bad decisions on someone else (blame games) 3. Words or policies without a clear definition. Ambiguity leads to a lot of exploitation. 4. Verbal tics. "Like, I totally um, like, love my boyfriend because um, like, he's so rad and hot, like" 5. Sneaky marketing techniques. For example, someone in front of me said something was $7 when it was really $8 ($7.99). Another popular one is very very small text in a hard-to-see place so companies don't get sued. |

When I was living in Breda with roommates, I was close to moving out and this one roommate (huge douche) decided to not do his dishes at all for the last month or two (despite repeated (and eventually unpolite) requests to tell him to go do his fucking dishes), clogging the sinks with all of his unwashed plates and pans and what not. I managed for a while since I usually only needed to wash my utensils and was using plastic plates a lot since I was close to moving but after a while I really needed to do some washing and decided to just move all of his stuff elsewhere. Eventually I got to a pan that had some leftover rice of his in it soaked in water surrounded by green/greyish sludge and HOLY SHIT those were some of the most vile smells that ever penetrated my nose. I've never really had much trouble with bad smells but that made me heave. I left all of his shit standing in the kitchen and moved out the next day.

I could never stand living with other people that don't give me total control over cleaning the place. As long as I'm allowed to move any of their stuff and put it away I don't really care about doing all the dishes. I just have to be able to clean up when I need things cleaned up or else I get too OCD and it will bother me to no end.
I often have compulsory cleaning sprees and nothing will stand in my way. |

-omg people who cheat when playing games, particularly competitive table-top games, so sad
-judgemental people -hurtful gossip (tends to go hand-in-hand with being judgemental, although there are plenty of judgemental people who don't make it known) -drivers who block intersections -dust and dusting -white-collared crime and criminals -doctors when: diagnosing to the stereotype, not giving themselves time to learn about a patient fully, figuring symptoms are mentally created not disease driven, treating symptoms without bothering to figure out why they exist, the ridiculous amount of paperwork they need to do to get paid properly -the business of pharmaceuticals -patents -archaic copyright laws -injustice in general -money = power I guess most of these things probably don't count as pet peeves, but the numerous pet peeves I have are nothing compared to what really irks me. Patents? I mean...excessive or absurd patents sure, patent trolling of course. But patents at all? You are annoyed that someone who develops a new thing is allowed to gain some benefit from that thing before everyone else can do it too?

5. Cleaning up for my pets, (ie litter box, cages,) and having them dirty them up RIGHT after I finish cleaning.
4. When people touch my stuff. Especially if they use something of mine and then either don't put it back, or leave it a mess. (Roommates using my dishes then leaving them in the sink? Ugh.) 3. When people spit on the ground. 2. People who leave their dogs outside to bark all day and night. 1. Being on the bus, (or plane) with crying children, loud conversations, and music cranked up so loud you can hear it perfectly through someone's headphones.
