Re: Disregard Index AAA
don't know about the rest of y'all, but it's 2013 and
so I like to assume innocent unless proven guilty. haha. incredible stuff, VerTex. personally, I think the best way to sort out the eternal "Is It Legit??" question would just be to meet up in person. there are enough people in the FFR/SM communities to live within close proximity and vouch for someone. |

Re: Disregard Index AAA
Would this include reopening SM under that specific folder or checking the properties on the shortcut to make sure it is opening the executable that is using said untouched files?

I have been saying this forever. I wish people cared enough to do this more often.

Re: Disregard Index AAA
Okay so more seriously:
Watched the video, seems legit to me tbh If one wished to be rigorous, though: As someone who spent a great deal of time (towards the end of my FFR/SM run) trying to make convincing hacks, I can say this: 1. It is possible to completely fool people even when you're playing live 2. It is possible to fake your .inis in every way, shape, and form 3. It is possible to haxxor your metrics to death and have everything nice and hidden (autoplay display texts, judge settings, whatever). It's not hard to edit the display of SM. The things that will fuck you up (when you're playing live) if you're cheating: 1. Play optimally, and then take your hands off the keyboard for a split second, put them back on, continue playing optimally. Possible to fake, but it's tedious, annoying, and easy to catch, especially if you do it multiple times in one tough song. You're bound to fuck up at least once. 2. Play a file that has a huge variety to it. As in, a file that has easy MA fodder, and then parts that should fuck you up a little, and then back to MA fodder again, etc. Uneven PA distributions are the goal, here. This is actually possible to cheat, but it requires a lot of fancy stats shit and frankly I don't think most people would go through the trouble. 3. Play something on SM, then halfway through, say fuck it and switch to an FFR tab and play something there instead. |

Re: Disregard Index AAA
There is no way I can believe something like this without seeing it in person. Although I think it is humanly possible it is still hard to believe. I was able to AAA 290 bpm 16ths, but for some reason 300 bpm just alluded me. There was just some kind of physical boundary between 290 and 300 that I could never pass. It's only a 10 bpm difference, it should be possible for someone with more physical capabilities.
