Re: 9th Official Tournament: Round 5 Discussion
32nd rolls actually get much easier to PA at speeds higher than ~200bpm since splitting is next to impossible. They're most difficult at ~195bpm where you either have to jump trill almost frame perfectly or actually be fast enough to roll them (see Skeletor wall lol). |

i hate the ones that have a single note at the beginning or end of the wall that make it hard to properly hit

Re: 9th Official Tournament: Round 5 Discussion
Eclipse (Luna)-
Pretty fun, has those patented AJ split patterns. Roll transitions caused me to feel this was harder than D5's file. Lots of hidden anchors on 1 and 4 also make it deceptively hard. My main complaint is that it was a really weird cut. Shatterscape (Bexarametric Remix)- Pretty easy, I think this will turn into AAA or die in no time. While the sounds were obviously all there, for some reason it felt kinda dumpy to me when I played it. Can't put it into words, maybe it's just the song. to luv me i *** for u (Reprise)- The anchors and split 32nd rolls were one thing but rofl those fucking mid-file trill ending transitions ruined me The ending trills were pretty cool. My favorite of the 4 files I played, certainly. This file feels more like Scrap Syndrome (Reprise) Extratone Pirates- Streams and jumptrillable walls, nothing we haven't seen before. Exactly what I expected from an Extratone Pirates file and nothing more, so good job. Sad you cut my favorite part of the song though rip Rihanna

Re: 9th Official Tournament: Round 5 Discussion
D4 file is great and fun even though it has a few really tough patterns. Seems proportionately harder than the song for any other division to me though, although I like it harder, so that's good lol. Every other division will probably require a very good score to advance but D4 it'll just be like under 20 goods or something like that. I too find the D5 song easier as I only got 17-2-4-3 on it my first try, even though my best of several tries on the D4 song is 20-1-5-6, and messed up and missed a lot early on the D5 song and could easily do better.

Re: 9th Official Tournament: Round 5 Discussion
Only played D5-D7:
Shatterscape (Bexarametric Remix): Easier than 78 for sure... 76 maybe? Either way, feels like a slightly more fluent October. There's nothing too bad that I could point out, transitions are smooth. Great file, probably really fun on rates too. To Luv Me I *** For U: Those trills are hella gay. Other than that, file's really really good. There are a couple of places that I would do way differently (almost every part with trills l0l) but they're not too bad. 32nd bursts create a lot of minijacks which would be ragebait, but I love it Extratone Pirates: You did what you can with this. Patterns felt very rough to hit, transitions from 32nd walls to stream are rigid, but I can't really say anything too bad about this file since there's nothing too overkill about it. You cut the best part of the track though, [--] Last edited by EzExZeRo7497; 11-22-2013 at 01:10 AM.. |

Re: 9th Official Tournament: Round 5 Discussion
Not to burst your bubble, but you're not supposed to AAA files at Round 5 easily.
