I wish it would have ended with Jesse leaving Albuquerque with Brock. Oh well. I liked it.

At first I didn't like that Walt basically got killed by his own gun, but that last scene was very fitting
really weird to see Walt *dead* on the screen. surreal. brock's probably living with his grandmother now so that wouldn't work out too well (he still has family even though Andrea and Tomas are dead) |

I liked the way Jesse and Walt had very little to say. There was nothing left to be said and the silences spoke volumes. Walt isn't lying to anyone anymore. I do wonder if Jesse would have shot Walt if he didn't see Walt's injury. Also if Walt still would have wanted Jesse to shoot him if he was uninjured.
Walt came full circle and it really tied his season 1 character to him at the end making the entire series valuable. He made the best of his grave situation with as much peace as possible protecting and providing for his family. I'm gonna have to rewatch the first episode of the series and compare Walt then to the Walt in the last episode. They are so similar and in such different situations. |

I think the most pressing question is.. Is Huell still sitting in his living room?

I think Jesse shooting him was all part of his giant plan he had. It seemed like when he kept referencing about that night and about the next day he planned to die and that Jesse was the most fitting way.

I think he was initially planning on killing Jesse along with the Nazis because he had assumed they partnered together for mutual benefit (w/Jack not following through with the hitjob).
Once Walt saw that Jesse was being kept as a meth slave indefinitely, he had a change of heart and wanted to save him, instead. Even if Walt hadn't been shot, I think Walt would have still offered Jesse the opportunity, and I think Jesse would have still refused it. Walt was a dead man walking anyway. It was a suicide mission from the start. He was going to get caught and taken into policy custody otherwise and he'd probably die from cancer eventually. Nah, Walt wanted to die -- and he even said so: "I want this." If there's anyone Walt would want to kill himself, it's Jesse. |

Did I miss it or is it left to our imagination: who wrote Heisenberg on the wall?

doesn't matter, he was on the news. The house was likely abandoned by Skylar because of the threat and media attention - maybe there was word about a bank repossession in a previous episode since she couldn't exactly afford it on her own. But, that wouldn't stop people from just walking in and spray painting Walt's now well-known drug lord pseudonym on the wall.

In Granite State (the penultimate episode), the Disappearer mentioned that the bank put up a fence around the house since it had turned into a "tourist attraction" for constant vandalism. We never see who writes HEISENBERG but it's likely just a random kid.

Stopped being able to watch originally around season 3 1/2, so coming into the last 4 episodes through the finale I missed a -LOT OF CONTEXT- But it was very good and I felt like I only really missed where the nazis came from, and I'm not sure what happened to jesse and walt between all that time... skylars still around.. I stopped watching right as she cheated with the co-worker so ?_? All in all watching these episodes like this and thinking of it as reading the last pages of a book weren't an issue, and I'm still intensely interested in the 4 seasons I missed

Not reading the thread that's prolly full of spoilers. In season 4 atm. Best series I may have ever watched.
Anyways, I feel the need to say that there's a very clear message in the show: the US health system sucks. |
