If you thought MFDFY was bad you should be glad you didn't play my version of Gaussian Mist 2. >:3

But yeah, the file just felt... I dunno, it felt similarly awkward to GM2 (for those of you who've played it, VERY awkward JS and trill patterns at 250+ BPM). It didn't look like something I would enjoy, and frankly apart from that JS pattern, it looked incredibly easy for an 80+. You know, Pandora and Revo syndrome, but not NEARLY as bad as either of those files, spike-wise OR going by quality. (Pandora might just be me acting madcuzbad, but Revo is legit terrible, you and I all know this)

Atop the World: Easy listening song, the piano flourishes were properly done, and overall enjoyable. I disagree with the ending being all colourmanias like that when the rest of the song is straight-up; it really messes with the mind and just isn't necessary in a song this slow and easy. -koffguiltyheretookoff-

Dead Throne: Best of the four releases. It's just fluid and fun. Not really much to say except I really enjoyed it.

Rising Blue Lightning: Long song. Although to be honest... hi19 you did a pretty good job stepping this. I think I might have enjoyed a cut just a LITTLE bit more than the entire thing, but it's a small gripe in the long run.

Actually if anybody made a controversial (read: bad) file that somehow got into the game, a lot of people would talk about it. Has very little to do with Middie and very much to do with the quality of the file lol

I really doubt that if it wasn't middie's file there would still be 5 pages of posts lol

Still think that song had a fun nature to it, despite the midi quality of it.

Ah well, I'm no musician, so I guess I can't tell what's good, though I will say most of the music on FFR I would by no means listen to it alone without playing along because they don't appeal to me.

Devil's Music Box is one of those songs I wouldn't play by itself, but it's fun to play when you play along with it. If that makes any sense.

aite maybe i was harsh but what i'm trying to say is most people are discontent with the song choice of yuyoyuppe rather than the chart itself
i tried the file and yeah there's a huge difficulty spike at the end but the patterns arent too megabad (although prone to splits), just wish the song didnt have high squealing sounds to what sounds like a rock song

no the song isn't that bad, the ending patterns are some of the worst of all time, the solo file which is a dump is 230498 times better than the one on ffr. pattern choices are horrendous

There are a lot of songs within the game players won't like. Some people see artists such as Venetian Snares, Terminal 11 and the sort as "noisy computer generated trash."

While I am not one of those people, there isn't a need to insult any artist who graciously granted us the right to use their works simply because you dislike them.

Especially if you haven't done your research. Yuyoyuppe doesn't only do high pitch Vocaloid songs. You should listen to the works such as Eternity, Shade, Follow Through Time and the like if the Vocaloid end of his work isn't your thing. His band Lunetia, or the collaborative group Draw The Emotional he does works for also strive far away from the Vocaloid end.

This can also be applied to Venetian snares and other authors, as I know Venetian Snares done some very amazing works without using the IDM genre such as Hiszékeny.

If you didn't want people to think that then you shouldn't have sent the song in the first place

That is currently the only song in FFR that is by Yuyoyuppe.

I fail to see how his response is dumb at all. Considering that Midnight is the one responsible for introducing this particular artist to the site (and nonetheless to a site where most people don't recognize this particular artist by name), he's going to be the one responsible with conveying the desirable initial impressions.

If The Flashbulb wasn't in game and I wanted to make sure that they were associated with DNB/IDM/etc, then I wouldn't send in something like Warren/No Running Water (just as an example).

Well, that's why I said this particular site, haha. I didn't know what kind of music Yuyoyuppe made, nor would I have known until after this song was released.

Okay fine I guess I'll respond more maturely thx bmah u hardass

His response is dumb because Middie didn't send the file to make sure Yuyo was represented by the right style of music. Nobody ever does for any file ever. Not only that, but Middie wasn't the one that brought up the issue of the music style, everyone else is complaining about it. So how is Dossar's response of "WELL IF YOU DIDN'T WANT PEOPLE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE ARTIST SEND A DIFFERENT SONG" valid at all?
