When I say divisions, I am talking about tournament divisions, e.g. D1, D5, etc.
In my opinion, D1 to D2 is the highest skill jump, and D4 to D5 is the lowest skill jump. Everyone's opinions are greatly appreciated! ![]()

Well, low D1 to low D2 is definitely the highest, but in terms of high to low, I'd go with either D1-D2 or D6-D7. As for lowest jump, that's probably D3-D4.

D3-d4 and d4-d5 are the lowest skill jumps because the majority of players are in that range

Carlos hit it right on the head.
The two largest jumps are D1 to D2, and D5 to D6, because of the large range in difficulties they can cover. |

High D2 to Low D3 feels exceptionally small

By the way, my tourny isn't the best example for division placements lol . I moreso grouped people by skill than fit into official division normalities.
That being said, I'd have to say D6-7 or D1-2 is the biggest gap. The only reason I mention D7 is because of how few players reach it. Personally, I think D2-D3 is the easiest jump, once you have enough accuracy to be D2, it only takes a bit more speed/technique to hit D3. This is assuming spread and a lag free (mostly) playing. |

Definitely D1 to D2 due to AAA's being balls hard. I didn't get my first AAA until I hit a D3 level.
Also D5 to D6 (unless the secret 7th division counts) is pretty brutal since you can be pretty fxcking good at smashing 75+, getting teens at a high D5 level with practice and more practice but D6 handles what D5 can't with so much ease it's a bit off-putting. (Main reason I kinda stopped playing. After winning D5 in the 7th official I knew there was too much practice/time and skill improvement to even compete with the next division.) (unless we're playing the kinda charts in Dossar's MiniMega Tournament of Brutality, when strategic smashing is key then I'd say I have a chance.) I think D4-D5 is the highest skill jump because it's like... D4 you don't have any 66's, but once you cross that threshold you suddenly can do patterns you didn't think you could do before and before you know it you're SDGing 76's and up.
