Re: Blizzard in the Northeast
You also live somewhere where you have to deal with a lot more snow. Where I've been over the past few years we've barely gotten any snow. Jersey we had only gotten once decent snowfall in October (2011) and nothing the rest of the season. It melted by morning the next day. This year we've had basically nothing in Chicago other than recently which most of it disappears within a day and hasn't been more than about 2 inches. Before that I was in SC. So yeah having to deal with the cleanup of one big snowstorm to me isn't a huge deal since we don't have to do it on a regular basis.

Re: Blizzard in the Northeast
I really wouldn't consider one large snowstorm a misfortune (on the east coast of the U.S.). Most people prep up ahead of time and hang out home for the day. Shoveling snow sucks sure, but typically when it snows I go out and keep up with it so I'm never shoveling a huge amount at one time.

lmfao seriously though, I'd kill for the 18+ inches of snow that you guys are getting -- I didn't get the chance to have a huge snowstorm to see out in NJ/PA; I think the most I saw was the 7 inches in October of 2011 in NJ, but since that, it has been over 10 years since I've sent a snowstorm of that magnitude. It would be awesome to see something like this again. Besides, Cavernio said it best: Quote:

What's even funny is that, my parents and my sister decided to rent a room in a hotel downtown JUST so they can go to work without being late because of snow. I find that ridiculous (even I was shocked, I was happy inside cause HOME ALONE \o/) but still, at least now I don't have to go to Friday classes edit: This isn't bad YET lool. was taken 3 hours ago so I think it's a little higher now.

Hahahaha. I drive through norristown almost every tuesday to go to the card shop in blue bell. I live in downingtown.
It's like a twenty five minute drive from my house, and a ten minute drive from my job in Malvern.

Re: Blizzard in the Northeast
Yeah that storm looks intense - areas west of Boston might get over 2 FEET by end of weekend. My family all lives up there but I'm down in sunny Arizona. They all hate me today. All is well here, though not nearly as exciting.

Easton PA reporting. Not much snow here yet, but we're supposed to get 10-16 starting later in the day.
