Most through way to eliminate bad patterns and double steps is to through the file physically saying left and right for each note, denoting which foot the player should be using. If you have to say the same foot twice and it's not a jack of some sort to avoid playing the next portion of the song backwards, it's probably a double step and should be fixed.

As far as stream patterns, you tend you want to avoid the player facing the same direction for an extended period of time. This way just slow the song down to a point where you could pretend to actually play the chart with your feet (not sure of your skill level). If you find your body angled one way for too long then you should change it so your body can turn. It takes more stamina but it makes the file more fun (and less detrimental to back health).
