Yeah - save them as .png. If you're using Photoshop, add a 1px inner stroke to the image too - it'll look a lot better having a clearly definable boundary

I use this program called Skitch, well I redid and re-uploaded them into .png format, I don't really notice much of a difference but here it is.

EDIT: Redid them again with boundaries.
