Java and Objective C are based off of the same syntax, so there's a lot of cross-compatibility. Problem being, once again, developing something that doesn't make Mac feel violated. So I might just skip any IOS development and stick with mostly Android. And as far as I know, nearly every Android app on the market is Java. |

Eh, I want to learn AS3, but I'm too used to AS2 and it feels like AS3 looks like a pain to code compared to AS2. But AS3 has more functionality so I need to force myself to learn it one time or another. XD

I'm currently using PHP, HTML, MySQL (not really a language, but you know), and going to be starting to use javascript and/or ajax for a school project for computer science.

AJAX isn't a programming language. It's a programming technique I believe was first implimented in Javascript (AJAX = Javascript) but can also be used in CGI scripts that allows for stuff like the spoiler button. Stuff like if you change one JumpMenu it'll change the set of values the other JumpMenu uses, or when you activate a button, it displays a bunch of text under it. If you already know PHP, you don't have to bother with Javascript I'm pretty sure but I guess your project is probably making you use Javascript?

OMeta, ActionScript, and Objective-C were my reasons for including 'Something else' in my vote.

Yeah, brain F*** is real. It was designed to be very difficult and not to really be useful, but to play with once you are masterclass at C and other languages and want to explore and tinker with harder things. It's pretty hard. Trying to just write a "Hello World" in it alone will prove a challenge.
Oh, forgot. It was actually written though just to try to make the smallest compiled language that was also a turing language. I'm a Python and Ruby fan atm. Last edited by prodigy06; 12-27-2011 at 01:21 PM.. Reason: improve on post |

I'm using a lot of PHP with MySQL at the moment. Also plenty of JavaScript, using AJAX to interact with PHP scripts. I have gotten good at web design (CSS + HTML) as well.
I have learned Java, VB, and C#, but would not consider myself proficient in them.
