Referring to Dossar's thread about ways to increase popularity here on FFR, we can map out and get an idea here of how people find FFR for the very first time.
Anyone can post here, especially encouraging any newcomers who first joined recently. So...how did you find out about FFR for the first time? Check out the poll as well.

I think in grade 6 I was looking at the wikipedia article for DDR and it mentioned FFR, so I googled it and ended up here. I don't really remember much from back then though.

We were going to have this DDR competition/event/thing at our school, and I was like "K I need to learn to read arrows faster somehow..." and a friend had mentioned the game before. Was curious, looked it up, got hooked.

I started with DDR Extreme a LOOOOOOOONG time ago. It wasn't mine, a friend owned it. I was hooked, wanted to play DDR whenever I wanted so naturally, I looked for an online alternative. Found Stepmania. Was semi-part of the community and learned about the simfile database you guys had and started visiting and taking your simfiles. xD
Then I played a widget and realized, wow, I suck so much less on FFR. So I played both SM and FFR for a while before quitting both and coming back like, 2 or 3 years later to find FFR had a whole HISTORY by then. xD Weird how shit happens to me. |

I was looking for simfiles for Stepmania and there was (and last time I checked still is) a page on Stepmania.com that listed loads of websites that had simfiles on it and sure enough FFR was on the list. I went there and only used the database, then the crash happened and then one day I was bored and looked to see if FFR was back and it was! The database was gone but I decided to actually play FFR and well...the rest is history.

I saw a friend playing it once. I've always liked DDR (although I suck at it) so when I saw it I thought it was a cool game since it was similar. I asked him for the url, and here I am now.

Searching for simfiles for ffr. Although stepmania isn't popular anymore so that isn't a lot of help. DDR isn't even that popular anymore.

So yeah, aaaaaaages ago, I went to my cousin's house, and they were playing FFR. I'll ask them how they stumbled across this place. I'm sure the eldest could FC FMOs.

I think I originally found FFR by googling DDR games online. I never really started playing until DDR club during my freshman year. We would play either FFR or SM in between DDR games lol.

A friend introduced me in 2008. He told me that this game was super funny because, at times, you could get a bonus yoshi round where the arrows go super fast and are totally random. But that's if you were really lucky.

Searched for similar flash games after coming across Beat Beat Revolution (I'm not even sure if it exists anymore).
