Music is my soul
|
So my school had a snow day and I felt like writing a piano piece for my girlfriend. This is the first time I've ever written a piano solo so I really hope you enjoy!

There were a few things I heard that felt off to me but overall, that was a really nice listen man. VERY relaxing and you can kinda feel the emotion/atmosphere of the song.

Quite pretty. Nothing really fancy but it sets a great atmosphere.
The quality of your recording is quite nice too. p.s. If the beginning is cut somehow, it's super steppable :P it'd be fine with the beginning too, but a little long for what would be an easy file

I started recording right after I thought up the main theme so it's not perfected yet, but I likely won't change it much. And I agree, it's shocking to have snow days this early. I go to University of Northern Colorado and we had a lot of power outages and tree limbs falling which merited one for us.

This song is absolutely gorgeous. May I ask what's the average BPM? It seems to be less than 100 BPM, probably around 80-90 just by hearing it. It gives out a mellow feeling when I listened to it. Nice job with the song Kirby.

I write stuff like this all the time when I'm just screwing around on the piano. Unfortunately, 98% of it never makes it to paper. Very relaxed and emotional piece, I enjoyed it

Whaaaaat you got a school day? No fair, Littleton didn't, what district are you in?
Also, nice piece. EDIT: Oh, well the power went out in our school for a little while, which means they're supposed to let us go, but didn't. |

Thanks all for the comments guys.
The BPM is around 80, but being a piano piece it fluctuates at different parts. Thatskier, is your brother a performance major? If so, there's a chance we've met in passing!

I agree that the melody needs some more harmonization to it, as it gets a bit repetitive as the song goes on. In the same token, I wanted it to be a very simple melody-driven piece from the beginning, so I don't want to add too much to it.
