Play easier songs if you can. If you jump to harder songs and start complaining, then something is obviously wrong.

Apparently this is a GAME that people play CASUALLY and just for FUN but not SERIOUS but yet they still HAVE to ENJOY every single LEVEL as if it was CUSTOM made FOR them?
ALTERNATING caps

EDIT- lest I sound too much like an ass, there is some good feedback hidden in that block of text. Be more specific with what "trills and jump patterns" you don't like, and I know many simfile artists will pay close attention. Me included. Constructive, specific, and concise feedback is appreciated more than you might think. TLDR rants that say nothing are ignored more than you might think.
Your attack on the way I present myself seems a little off putting, but since I am a fair man I will try to explain. I type in the same way I talk in real life, so basically every word in all caps is a word I would have stressed or emphasized if I was talking to you in person. It is hard online with text to show just what words you would stress with a different vocal in real life, I have adapted a way I feel gets my point across on the internet. Also, it was NOT a block of text, it was well formatted and well thought out.

Now, to get to the rest, you are correct. Not every song is catered to me, and I will not enjoy every song / stepfile released in game. No argument from me there. My problem is with how vastly different each song within the same category is becoming. If it is a 10, and stepped like all 10's before it, why would I even say anything? Yet when it is a 10 that FEELS like a 12, then there is something I am unhappy with, and it is not just the song, or hell even its steps, it is where the song ended up that bothers me.

Your solution is to get better. Good day.

Here's your prescription, I wrote:

4 hours of Stepmania once every 3 hours. Take 3 per day.

Make sure you don't miss a day or you won't feel any better.

Actually, my solution, being the better one, would be to instead deal with it. This problem has occurred over and over buddy, and nothing has ever happened.

I don't want this to sound elitist or whatever it may come off as, but I really haven't noticed the 'supposed' recent increase in difficulty within each boundary for new files being added to the game...aside from the obvious addition of hands in lower-level songs (which I really don't think are that big of a deal, it's refreshing to see hands in a 7 or 8 every once in a while)

That being said, it's obvious almost everyone else seems to believe otherwise, so perhaps something should be done.

Then again, completely eliminating difficulty spikes for all future files would be retarded, and bumping up the difficulty of the song to match the file's hardest 'section' would also be quite foolish........eh

I know the majority of arguments to this thread are NOT this way, so please do not think I am talking to you personally when I say this . . . .

Anyone who says " just get better " has NO understanding of what I am talking about, and has not used the brain they were born with. You may THINK your clever, but your really not, and make yourself look like a fool with comments like that.

Oh, I guess I'm just dumb.
I'm kinda stating a fact. The more you get better the less complaints.

Focus on the thread please, you aren't accomplishing anything with the way you're posting.

OT: This is merely the opinion of someone who casually plays this game. If you complain about something being so hard, just get better at it. If you think that a 9 should be a 10 and a 10 as a 12 then that's your own problem. Once you get better you wouldn't complain about difficulties.

Seriously, you think everyone's been getting their skill handed to them on a plate? Everyone's been playing and playing to get better, and there are a lot of people who used to be in D1 are now D4+ in less than a year.
Most of these difficulties (on the newly released songs) are subjective anyways, just play the damn file, like shiet.

Address my first post. Give us some concrete examples. I definitely don't see any of the enormous gaps you seem to be claiming exist.

FFR is gaym. gaym should be fun.

If you think hard no fun, don't play them.

It's the general argument that most people are throwing back, and it's true. You really should realize that if you think a 10 is a 12, then you should probably just treat it as a 12. difficulties are all subjective, and it's up to you to think how hard a song is. and if you don't like that difficulty, simply stay away from it.

I would like to point out I agree with this. In my opening post I even made mention of a level 9 feeling like a low 10 would be fine. I have no problems with a challenge within level ranges to make one a better player. NONE. My problem lies in the way you all argue " FFR is evolving ". The problem with that is the gap between difficulties within the same category become HUGE and your " fine " with it because, well " your just better ", and I should deal with it by " Just get better ". Absurd.

It should not be this way, and for anyone who is not AAAing FMO's and FGO's all day, but still logs in from day to day to enjoy themselves, after a while I notice the huge difference in many of the songs withing the same difficulty category, and this I DO have a problem with.

Sorry this will be my last post, at least for today. Life calls.

PROVIDE EXAMPLES. All of your arguments are pretty much worthless until you prove what you're saying. I am 100% confident that there are zero 10's that play like 12's. There aren't going to be ANY gaps higher than one level of difficulty. You're going to get 10's that play like 11's, and 11's that play like 12's due to subjectivity.

SOoooOooo many words, so little evidence or concrete examples. It's like talking to a goddamn politician.

Anyway, what I'm getting from this is that there are certain patterns which are hard for you but easy for other people. Any 10 with those patterns feels like a 12 to you despite not really being all that hard for other people. Many people have issues with certain patterns (i.e. I suck at runningmen) or sections of a file (mindblocked) but most people don't... flip out about it so much 0_o
