Re: Hurricane Irene
I'm more annoyed I'm being forced to clean this shit up... Did a lot of damage to trees and damaging a couple foundations on homes. But the time spent cleaning this crap up is nowhere near how boring this storm was. Coming straight from the heart of Fort Lee, Virginia.

Again, just because it didn't effect you (you, as in anyone who wasn't affected) doesn't mean this wasn't something bad. Was it catastrophic? No. But did it leave some scars for some towns and cities? Yeah. /Empathy |

Re: Hurricane Irene
Side note: During our power outages a serial burglar broke into three homes across the street from me. Blagh.

Re: Hurricane Irene
It was originally heading towards Florida. If you don't live in Florida, it's not surprising that you don't know that.
I don't think it was wrong or apathetic to laugh at that picture. That picture represents exactly what happened to us, so I naturally laughed at it. I'm certainly not laughing at what happened to other people due to the storm. |

Re: Hurricane Irene
Haha Soco, I also picked up a lot of branches in my yard yesterday. There wasn't any bad damage here.

Re: Hurricane Irene
Okay now THAT is a better choice of picture.
A sad article about those who died, though. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/31/ny...e.html?_r=1&hp
