Yeah, entropy is related to the multiplicity of different states that a system can possibly be in. It doesnt really mean that things will "disorder", it just means that the system is most likely to be found in the state with the highest multiplicity.

Take a thermodynamics class before you use this to argue against evolution, LOL!!!!

Obviously, creationist theories should be kept away from the science classroom at all times. However, I would not disagree with a proposal to teach faith-based alternatives in public schools. And when I say "faith-based" I do not necessarily mean "Christian". I think part of the reason we have so many people in this country who consider themselves Christians but do not act Christ-like at all is simply because they believe what their parents believe, or in some dimmer scenarios, they were forced to believe what their parents believe. My interpretation of those kind of people is that they're Christians because they know no other way. What's wrong with teaching Islam in schools? Or Buddhism?

but wait a minute this is amurrica we can't be teachin that raghead religion to our childrens

The second law means that the entropy of a system cannot decrease. This, however, has nothing to do with 'flowing from chaos'. Things organize themselves naturally in nature all the time. We can see it happening. For example, something as simple as a plant emerging from a seed planted into the Earth. You take something simple and it turns into a vastly complex organized system. This in and of itself shows that you're wrong, but there's a reason it works like this.

Order can arise from disorder because the Earth in and of itself does not constitute a closed system. In other words, the Earth gets energy from outside sources (e.g. the sun) to drive organizational systems. This in turn causes a net increase of entropy in the universe, but a minimally entropic system here on Earth.

This is observed naturally on many levels. Consider lipid membrane formation for one, since it is a perfect example. If you put lipids themselves into water, one might intuitively not expect them to stick together, since it would appear as if the system were maximally entropic, or chaotic, when all of the lipids were dispersed. However, this is not the case. Lipids are naturally surrounded by water molecules, which would cause a relatively organized system of fat molecules surrounded by an organization of water molecules. Instead, lipids stick together and form membranes with hydrophobic regions, causing most of the water molecules to continue to float freely, maximizing the chaos of the environment while causing a small portion of the environment (the membrane) to be highly organized.

This is just one basic example of how organization emerges in a system where entropy has to be maximized.

With respect to evolution being an empty theory; this simply isn't true either. There are mountains of evidence supporting evolution.

Consider doing some, you know, actual reading. Try:

http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-speciation.html
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-misconceptions.html

Nuff said?

(The fact that claims like this are still made in an age where a quick google will quickly debunk it blows my mind)
This.

Mans0n is dumb as bricks.

I am ashamed of Virginia. However, my 10th grade Biology teacher did talk briefly about evolution, but it was not part of her lesson plans for the whole year. She just did it cause she felt she needed to. Props to her.

I do agree. My only point was that, if it's going to be presented at all, it falls under (bad) philosophy, so present it there (it's still obviously an intellectually bereft idea that should be completely dismantled).

It's not science, so it should never under any circumstance be presented in a science class, because you can't teach 'both sides' of a 'debate' that only has one side.
