There have been several people making Facebook pages to collect pics of the perpetrators, then sending these to the police. Many arrests have been already made.

I was in Vancouver a little under a week and a half ago. It was nothing like this. Good thing I left lol.

My dad is self-employed and works a blue collar job and you have to be fairly intelligent and knowledgeable to do what he does. I'm in school to get a white collar job but I am currently and have in the past worked at factories, and they're not "below you".

These people riot cause they're a bunch of over-privileged idiots. It's a game people spectate. Whether their team wins or loses changes nothing. But that's true; in Canada, hockey really is serious business.

The only reason why this event stood out more than other riots at sporting events is because Vancouver is generally known to have world-class reputation in regards to the quality of life, the city, and I assume then the behavior/mannerism of people. Riots here showed a sharp contrast.

That's not how the world has previously viewed Vancouver, and is besides the point. Vancouver's overall light was greatly a positive one, and is constantly advertised as such. This is why the riots were such a shock internationally. Everyone expected better.

And really, just about everyone did. The perpetrators were probably around 30 or so people - scumbags. They really stained the reputation of Vancouver as a whole.

Yeah true. I must admit, when it first erupted lots of people jumped on the bandwagon to thinking that Vancouver was really full of people like that, but it didn't take long for me to realize it's just the idiots who did that, and they shouldn't represent all of Vancouver.

After all, when the announcement of the Winnipeg Jets return happened, there were lots of idiots out here too going nuts. Not that nuts mind you.
