I used a chopstick as a propeller for an airplane type thing I made out of a waterbottle when I was 8. I doubt a fork would have worked as well due to the much more obvious lack of symmetry. And it would have been way too heavy.

However, for eating, forks are easier and better.

Also I believe forks and chopsticks have many many shared applications, name one thing chopsticks can do that forks can not. The point is they are both eating utensils but forks overall have the upper hand. If I were in a rice eating contest with an average chopstick user and I was a fork user I bet I would win speed wise. For me it doesn't really matter that other people think of a fork as barbaric, it's way more efficient than chopsticks and I think forks will rule the world one day.

100% fuccen agree'd. Chopsticks are fun, and I use them from time to time cause it's a nice change, but I find most people who regularly use them and argue that they're superior and forks are barbaric are just pretentious weaboos who spend all their time indoors fapping to Hatsune Miku while re-watching Bleach for the 8th time. As a person who thinks about things in terms of cause-and-effect, I thought up a theory that asians are typically smaller in size because they use chopsticks which take more time to use, giving food more time to digest as you're still eating and in turn satisfying your appetite with a less amount of food.

And then I got a job with asians and realized that they can use chopsticks just as fast as people use forks.

I do like using chopsticks for a change of scenery, for aesthetic value mostly. The most obvious example: a piece of sushi wouldn't look nearly as cool if you cut it in half with a fork and poked at it. As for noodles, chopsticks do the job more quickly than forks for me.
