Just tried opening mspaint.exe 2007 with audacity, and got a 5 second scratchy sound, as opposed to this. oh well lol

Of course after reading this I had to go and open about fifty different things on my pc in Audacity... these are the notable ones

MapleStory.exe -- sounds like ghosts talking for about 2 seconds
filezilla.exe -- 6 seconds of a tape rewinding
3dmarkVantage.exe -- what a digital toilet would sound like while flushing
20090417.mkv -- some strange distorted voices, assuming its from the clip's audio track
fallout3guide.pdf -- plasma rifle from Doom
VindictusSetupV1172.exe -- caused Audacity to crash (1.83 GB lololol)

did you set the encoding as signed 8 bit PCM

also try lowering the bitrate maybe
