I live near Montreal and I have seen it quite a few times. Almost -50 with wind chill. I remember when I was a kid they closed the school because it was too cold outside. Not snowing. Just too cold.

Oh as I mentioned, I live near Montreal, most of Canada is way up to the North compared to Montreal so it's easy to imagine colder temperatures.

Damn, I just checked and it's around -40 at some places in Northern Canada, that's 100 degrees colder than Seattle.

How the **** do you walk through that?

Toronto's had it pretty easy this year; I don't seem to recalll having a high go below -10 Celcius, not including wind chills (which have gone down to ~-18) and lows (-16ish). Worst i've seen was a week where it went a week in the -30s. I'm enjoying the weather right now to be honest.
