To be honest, over 4 years of practice and a shit load of musical experience. Being in the viola section means you keep the beat because the classical composers hated us. Teachers drilled it into us to keep a steady beat or we'd get yelled at. Consistency. Main thing I was every taught XD

Hahaha it's just one thing I took from playing viola over to here. Doesn't mean it'll happen with everyone. But seriously, if you have the knowledge of music, use it here for identifying patterns that are troublesome for you. Won't necessarily work for everything, but might work for something.

lol this is true for me... when a song has triples i sing it like my chorus teacher taught us my freshman year. god i was horrible at singing back then, but i think i was also told the trick playing the trumpet. trip-el-et, trip-el-et...

I have around 5 years of playing the piano so consistency is a must for me.. though I hesitate a lot xD

And this is what I don't understand, because of 12 years of piano, 2 of flute, 3 of drums, 1 of guitar, 2 on vocal percussion (legit beatboxing), and my whole life on vocals.

It's a different concept.. however, hearing the music is good, but it really depends on your hand-eye coordination.
Reading notes from music charts / sheets doesn't really help with sightreading stepfiles here xD

My bad habit for being steady with triplets turned into me saying "ba-da-da ba-da-da" instead of trip-o-let. I can't say trip-o-let fast enough when the BPM gets too high XD

I can do those thanks to bass. I like to play 3 notes fast. So I like triplets. :3

Can't you just listen to the keytaps and hear it's triplets? I guess that comes with having to clap rhythms rather than saying them. But since we're all going into music background etc, piano for 13 years and singing for 11.

Thread related: How the hell am I gonna get enough speed to get a decent score on KS in such a short time ;-; Especially when I have school up my ass right now. I might have to drop out, or play each song only a couple times; no more whoring until I get my shit back together.
