It was kind of hard in the beginning but after like an hour or 2 I got the hang of it.

About 5 minutes. I play viola so my left hand was already used to fingering >.>

I've played ASKL for about 1.5 years and it's marvelous. Though I think the idea is the farther apart the better.

About a day, really. It just kinda clicked.

took me... like a year... still haven't gotten it completely. jumps are awkward and trills. i know thats normal. but yea.

it took about 2 months for it to stop feeling wrong though.

Actually no. It took me only a few songs to get used to and about a day for improvement.

I'm pretty sure when OP said "learn" spread, he meant gotten up to par with your past style. Or at least got good with it. I'm pretty sure you did not suddenly start FCing 10's first few songs on spread. It takes time to adjust, most things do.

Took me a good couple of months to get used to spread. I played index for like 3 years before that.

it took me about 2 days to get past where i was before. i used to play 3 fingers, and said ef it, and went spread. best decision of my stepmans career.

A few seconds. All you had to do was key setup, hit a note perfect, and you learn.

Correct. Ill put it in a different way. Certain songs seemed easier within the first day of playing spread.

I played one-hand/three-finger and when I switched to spread (I generally do asjk) I'd say it took about two weeks to get back to where I was one-handed, and another couple days to surpass it.
