Yes, and we all hate you for it.

But, in a good kind of hate.

Yeah ok, you know the only way he could rip that out is if he opened up his PS2 and tugged on the power buttons because he thought there was some slack there, I know almost did it. But that's different because the PS2 wasn't make to be user friendly on the inside. Oh and I'm not saying the PS2 is indestructible, but I'm not going to say it's radioactive and full of mines. How specifically did he put a crack in it? I could see that happening by doing something stupid those friends are great.

The Xbox article was all over FFR a while back.. I can't find it now, just look for it.

He kicked it. I said that last page.

He "ripped out" the cable by pulling the cover off too fast not knowing there were cables on it.

I don't even want to open up my Gamecube, nor do I have to. Our "Mod-Chip" is just a disc. Pop it in then play your import. So simple.

How is that Sony's fault though?

Once again, I would like to say that I have owned many Sony products, and never have they malfunctioned. My (first) PS2 works as good as new. I bought the new "smaller" PStwo last week for Gran Turismo 4 when it comes out to keep in my office (where the big screen is).

We'll see how well the new PStwo holds up once I get GT4. Hours upon hours of Career mode races, 24 hour endurance races...I probably wont be going to school for a few days after it's release.

Also about the Square button being misalligned, to date, 4800 PSPs have been returned to due to defects, about 0.6% of the amount Sony has manufactured (source Joystiq.com).

It would get completely flipped over a few times after a fierce kick and crash against a wall, but the game wouldn't freeze and the disc wouldn't scratch or pop out.

For the finale, we actually dropped it from about 2-3 feet. The game still played without problems.

Now, do this with a PS2. I reckon just flipping the thing over would cause it to explode.

And good luck kicking around and Xbox like a soccer ball. The thing would stub your toe first, then freeze the game.
Hasn't anyone else seen the X Play episode where they tested all three of the systems? They hit them with a sledgehammer, dropped a weight on them, and dropped them from a good 10-20 foot high cliff. The Gamecube won, hands down. The PS2 broke first, obviously.

P.S. My PS2 has never broken down.

I loved that video. I can't believe the Gamecube was virtually unharmed after the drop scene. I CAN believe that the PS2 was wrecked from the first test.

However, the funniest part is that she struggles to hit the Xbox with a sledge.

I think it would have been a little cooler if, for the tests that didn't involve moving the console much, they had it plugged in and running a game. I guarantee that Gamecube wouldn't freeze (though the disc might come out) and that the other two would.

sony is good because of marketing. they've made people such as chromer think that Gamecube doesn't offer a quality selection of a wide variety of games. which it does, but certainly isn't known for. The reason I'll always buy Nintendo consoles is because they actually care about the customer. I've accidentally left my gamecube running for very very long amounts of time, which is obviously going to ruin the laser lens (not nintendo's fault, MY fault...as they explicitly say that this is not good for the system), but eventhough my warranty was 2 years expired, and it was completely my fault, Nintendo still fixed my Gamecube for free. free shipping, free repair, all in about 5 days. they have absolutely outstanding service. But you've gotta give props to Sony. anyone who can rebuy the same product 4 times must have OUTSTANDING marketing practices. plus people are stupid.

about the 2nd week i had my DS i slammed it in the car door, i freaked out, but then sent in in to nintendo to get it repaired, they fixed it and gave me a new pen thing, all for free..
as for the PSP, im glad i didnt buy it, its nice and all, but its not very portable, the one feature i like about the DS is that it has the fold down screen to portect the screen

tru dat, muskrat, i own a ps2, but if it ever broke, id chunk it in a sec, i dont play it to often...

Oh yea, that's one thing I forgot to mention.

Didn't Sony catch on to the mistake Nintendo made with the GBA? Not protecting the screen in any way (without purchasing a case) is going to ruin it FAST. The fold-down screen is essential nowadays.

It's a good thing you didnt since it isnt even avaliable in America yet.

I agree, Nintendo makes durable products....because their main target is younger children, who, by their design, are clumsy and stupid.

America and Japan have different ways of viewing electronics. Japan is very neat and protective of their electronics...where as Americans generally arent (I mean, hell, I've used my cell phone as a hacky sack). I think Sony has underestimated that fact about Americans when designing the PSP.

But, you know, the same thing was said about the iPod. Seriously, a chrome-mirror finish backing, and plastic front? Yeah, it's nice for about a a week, then it gets all scratched up...unless you keep it in a case. But hell, Apple has had the best sells year of it's corporate-life.

I hate the back of the iPod.

What were they thinking? As soon as you touch it and turn it around, BAM, fingerprints all over. It's stupid. And just keeping the thing in a jacket pocket with soft liner is scratching it up. I have no idea how.

I'm hoping you guys saw that Episode of Screen Savers where Kevin was talking about the same exact thing. He said to just take a regular Scotch pad and doing a stroking motion from Top to bottom, scratch the color off of the back of the iPod. Voila! You have a polished steel iPod back. Trust me it looks cool.

On the other hand, No, Sony has not "brainwashed" me to accept only Sony products. Like I said before, I have been playing Nintendo ever since I was born. Hell, my love for video games started with Nintendo. But as I grew older, my passion for video games took a turn for the better when I first discovered the PSX. Now that I can think for myself, the PS2 and PSP offer better gameplay and overall quality that I desire. I'm not saying that the GC is "teh SuXXor", all I'm saying is that I had to choose between Nintendo and Sony, and I chose Sony. Simple as that. Oh and did anyone notice there's a handlebar on the back of the GC? I don't know if this is to pick your GC up, or to prove its durability since its being used by little kids.

Carrying Handle.

Transportation.

You can carry it around and crap. You know, if you wanted to bring it to a friend's house or something. You know. Play games with other people. At other houses.
