I'm using Reason and Sonar. Bought FLs8 for a friend. Looks great, but I personally wouldn't choose it over something like Reason.

Great stuff though.

As far as FL goes, it's got alot more power than people give it credit for. It's direct audio manipulation is superb and the sequencer (once you get used to it ) is really excellent

I reccomend listening with your lights off and your door locked. I also suggest taking all of your clothes off.

Absolutely wonderful thus far. Please Tell me The Truth and The Wizards Ascension are the tracks I enjoy the most (of the ones I haven't heard).

EDIT: I remember No Where To Sleep from Newgrounds, glad you put it in the album.
EDIT: Also glad you put in The Wizards Finale, it has to be my favorite from you.

The main problems are the dynamics. There's a lot of clipping, some drums are too loud, some are too soft. Sometimes the reverb, delay, etc. is too heavy and obvious. Things like that. Things that experienced producers notice which bug them.

And when the amens dropped abruptly, the strings chords felt utterly uncompelling in comparison due to their lack of power; they fail to envelope you, they fail to convince and influence you. It's an issue, but just a prominent example. :V

Most people don't really pick up these things and it therefore makes little difference to them, but if you sent this stuff to Benn Jordan, he surely would find it quite amateur. Not to say he necessarily would dislike it, just that he would be able to tell you have a ways to go.

Still though, you've come a long way on this uphill battle. Everything will make more sense as you progress. Don't get discouraged, you have a lot of skill. You mostly need to work on your craftsmanship and execution. I hope this helped. Hope I didn't sound snotty.

Normally I would instantly flame someone like Ero because I really like nubbin's music but that was well-thought-out and actually made good points that I haven't even noticed before :X.

There are definitely some sick ideas in this album, and a lot of very poignant musical moments. I just wouldn't try to put this on the market or anything like that.

I agree with what you've said fully, and that's kind of what I was alluding to with speaking about presets. The strings also bothered me in particular.

Then, I must have really ****ed up somewhere, because I was using EastWest symphonic Orchestra. now THAT is discouraging. when I can take the most professional sounding orchestral vst and make it sound like crap.
