C-C-Check it. I have no idea what finals I am taking, nor do I care due to the fact that I have become extremely lazy when it comes to school work. I dropped any class (that I didnt need_ that requires me having to think about something I'd rather not be thinking about. Thus, I only have 5 classes, and of those only 2 are meh.
U.S. Government (I enjoy this class, I just dont enjoy the homework/tests/outlines): The exam shouldnt be too hard. Doesnt matter really, I have a solid A. Weight Training (Hahah, NO PAIN TO GAIN! GRUNT GRUNT, I HAVE NO NECK): I have no idea what kind of exam I will be taking in this class, though I have an A, so I dont worry. English IV CP: It's funny, I couldnt take an advanced class due to my schedule (a year wasted in IB), so I am taking CP. We are learning stuff I learned Freshman year in Honors. The Exam: The proper structure of a paragraph and essay + Literature we read. Art AP 2D design: I will most likely have to draw something...shocking. Japanese IV: I need to study, though the test shouldnt be too hard...I still need to study though. I am not prepared to go to Japan this summer. |

My exams are over today. We have a two hour delay, so I'm at home right now. Of course, I wake up at 6:00 AM and my dad wasn't paying attention to the news...
Yeah, can't wait until they are over. |

My schedule:
Geometry Honors - last Friday American History Honors and English 10 Honors - yesterday German II CP (CP is the highest my school has for German II) - today Chemistry Honors and Health - tomorrow I am so happy because I'm done Health after the exam. I every minute I was in that classroom. Next semester I get to take Intro to C++ so that should be cool.

I don't think I even have an english midterm. I wouldn't even be suprised, considering she hasn't taught us anything this year... at all. She just yells at us for talking and the rest of the time we sit an twiddle our thumbs, because she doesn't assign any work during the day :O.
Math midterm will be easy. I'll be pissed if I don't get 100%. History midterm should be easy, I'm looking for mid-90s. Band midterm, really easy, just playing all the scales, excpecting in the 90s. Spanish midterm will be easy, especially because all we've learned this year is conjugates... which I picked up on the second day and I've done math homework during the class every day since. 100% fo sho. Bio midterm could be interesting, she gives AP level tests even though it's not an AP class, nor are any AP bio classes even avaliable at our scool. But I know the stuff so low 90s high 80s probably. |

Still not a single person has answered me.
WHY are your finals in January?! Finals need to be in June. You know, when you leave school. Why are you all in messed up schools here? Either the finals are during Midterm season (November / December, when the 2nd quarter (1st semester) ends), or they are at the end of the school year. ~Squeek |

It's called Block Scheduling.
You're taking a year of classes in half a year, the year of classes starts in September and ends in January. Then your next year of classes starts in January and ends in June. You learn all the information you would get in a year in half of a year. For example: Fall Schedule: 1: Algebra II Honors 2: Multimedia Tech 3: Chorus(or Study Hall) 3A and 3B, Lunch 3C (each section is 25 minutes each) 4: US History I Honors 5: English II Honors Spring Schedule: 1: Spanish III Honors 2: Gym 3: Pre-calc, maybe, if you double up or some other selective course 4: Chorus 4A and 4B (or Study Hall), Lunch 4C (=( last lunch is so late) 5: AP Lab Bio Stuff like that. There's Lunch 2A, 2B, 2C, 3A, 3B, 3C, 4A, 4B, 4C That's how it is at my school. We also get off next Monday because of Teachers' Workshop for the new classes. They learn new "Teaching techniques". Sounds like a load of crap to me. They probably smoke joints in the teachers' lounge all day, considering my school has one of the worst reputations for drug abuse by the kids.

We had block scheduling. This is completely different.
Block scheduling is when your classes are in BLOCKS of timeframes. This is completely different. Hah, your schools are making you work harder now. I'm glad I graduated before all this crap happened. Or maybe my state is just too cool for your crazy "Block Scheduling". ~Squeek |

actually finals taken in june and january are the finals for the semester. the semester grades are placed on your records, while quarter grades are not. its not that they fit one year into a half a year time period, its just that teachers want to test their students of their knowledge before the permanant grades go out.
