No, Vista is not the problem, nor is the amount of RAM. You do not need 5gb or 11gb RAM to run a flash application, sorry. Go learn something about hardware before you give such advice.

This is where I get really pissed off. I understand that some people are just too stupid to process information, and with many of you, that is the case. I will hold you to a higher standard anyways. Go research Vista, use it on your own, and ask people who have some idea what they're talking about. Hearing it from your mom's dad's uncle's roomate that Vista is bad because it HaxeZ ur IntarNETS does not constitute fact. Hearing that there were problems with Vista in its beginning and then applying it to everything else is a crude conjecture at best.

XP was as bad as Vista when it came out. It takes time for an operating system that a good 90% of the world uses to get up to speed. Vista now operates much faster than before, and all the kinks have been worked out. I have been using this computer with Vista for months, and only once has it crashed due to a non-overclocking incident, and that was from an Apple program, iTunes 8.

You know what the truth is? You've all been duped. Bloggers and columnists on the internet get paid by number of viewers because they make money from advertising. The quickest and most effective way to do that is to sensationalize and create conspiracy theories. So the blog vultures jumped on the Vista carcass. Translation: you were hyped up into believing a bunch of bull****. Vista is not bad. Vista is not the devil. Go learn something about hardware and then you'll realize it yourself. It's not exactly secret knowledge.

Windows 7 will be based on the Windows Vista architecture. What that means is, Windows 7 is essentially Vista Number 2. There is nothing wrong with the Vista kernel, and in fact it's better and more stable than the XP kernel. But hey, I'm just a hardcore computer enthusiast who owns a custom computer building business and started programming C++ at age 14 and Visual Basic at age 12, and has dealt with many kinds of software and OSs personally and professionally. What the **** do I know?

Windows 7 will be more scalable - that is, there will be smaller versions of the OS to allow it to be used in more applications than are currently possible. Meaning, if I want to run an OS from a thumb drive, I have a Windows alternative to DamnSmallLinux.
