Since changing my clocks back an hour it gets dark around 5pm. This is absolutely terrible! I feel so sleepy so early. I used to have a lot of time from getting out of school and getting home to have some daylight. Now I only have about 4 hours of daylight. I can't imagine it for the elementary kids around here. They get out of school at 4pm. Little kids are supposed to play outside but they only get an hour!
Has the time change affected (effected? don't know which one to use) you like this or in any other way?

Not really, I have noticed anything. I live in the eastern time zone so it gets dark around six. I find that when I get up for school though, it's bright, which for what I use to get up to, is a change. As for the little kids I feel bad for them, but all the ones that live around me just play in the dark. A bit dangerous but...

I actually like it, mostly because I like night. The nights have literally seemed like there's two extra hours to enjoy.

It's horrible. I get out of school at sunset - in an hour, it's dark by then, and it feels like it's 9:00 when it's really not even 6.
I do get tired a little bit earlier, but I tend to ignore it - I wake up instantly upon going to bed anyways. Still, it's bad enough that I get out of school at 4:20, but coupled with the time change, I get very little time for doing homework and anything else I'd like to do. Dumbass schoolboard, if they had considered the ramifications forwarding the time school gets out by two hours on both students and teachers, they would have thought twice about making that decision. ~Bynary Fission EDIT: I love the extra hours of night though. I tend to get really hyper and energetic at that time. ![]() |

I hate it.
It makes the hours of homework seem even longer... |

I'm practically nocturnal now. Sun comes up at 6 but I'm usually awake until 3 AM. And during the school day I'll go to class, be done at 2 or 3:15, and take a nap for an hour or two. So it's like 4 oclock. One hour of sunlight left for any recreational activites, lol. And then I'm up for most of the night except maybe 3 hours of darkness. Used to it.

The time change hasn't bothered me at all. In fact, I love it. I'm more efficient because I keep thinking it's later than it actually is, and that I have less time to do things. School isn't an issue for me because I'm home-schooled. If I want to go out and do something during the day, I can. As long as I finish my work before I go to bed.
