Most Overated and Underated Games

Overrated = Pretty much what everyone has already said.

Underrated = Toejam & Earl, Skies of Arcadia

Well, maybe Skies of Arcadia. I'm not sure if it's completely underrated though.

Digital Devil Saga had one of the best stories of any RPG series I know. It was probably the only game I know that actually made me cry. ;_;

So for overrated I would have to say the Halo series. Sure, online is pretty fun every once in awhile. But it wasn't the epic that I was told it was going to be.

Ha! Another person who played it besides me, My life is fulfilled. I almost cried too on the second game, and I don't think I've ever had any other game get me that close to crying (take that Aeris lovers! :P)

Also, I totally went completely out of my way and spent nearly $100 just to get the soundtrack

Are you trying to say that this game was overrate or underrated? In any case, it isn't either, it had the right amount of hype. Most everyone who plays GBA games have heard or played the game so I wouldn't say it's underrated.

Oh, I honestly hadn't heard of the game until last year. I guess I'm slow on things, I was thinking it was underrated.

It wasn't underrated for its time though. I remember Golden Sun being a huge hit when it first came out. Of course all the hype is gone now since it has been at least 6-7 years since its release.

Gitaroo Man, Rez, and Silhouette Mirage are definitely some underrated games IMO.

underrated: nippon ichi titles, parasite eve 1&2, baten kaitos, lunar&lunar eternal blue. oh and the
shadow hearts series. also legend of legaia and alundra and secret of evermore, and wild9, and
clock tower 3 and the deception games.

Overrated: Duck Hunt (**** that dog)

Underrated: Secret of Mana, Ogrebattle (I think this got rereleased on PS1 and I have no idea how popular it actually was, it was impossible to find it for SNES though)

halo (even though i like it lol) is way overrated, the most underrated game is Conker: Live and Reloaded

Overrated: halo 3, that game is terrible, halo 2 was amazing, bye. Gears of war is absolutely horrible also.
Underrated: I, can't think of anything right off the top of my head right now, but I think Brave Fencer Musashi was underrated, unless it was a big game, I never payed attention to how popular games were back then, I loved this game.

Brave Fencer Musashi wasn't particularly big, but it was well enough received to have a sequel made of it. That doesn't mean too much, but I agree with you, awesome game that didn't quite earn enough praise.
