I don't think so if your smart and not afraid to kill people and completely sane. You know that these deaths are unnecessary and could be avoided, that person would only kill if it was necessary, for example your friend figured you out and he is reaching for the phone you kill him right then and there. You also stated that if a person was to do this it would be because that person wanted to erase their past, that doesn't mean it's immposible to love someone and they all should die, you could change how your mother thinks instead of killing her and the end result would be the same.
