Re: WALL-E
very good movie... cause it made me feel good ^_^ . though they still went abit overboard on tryign to make robots seem cute and personified.
the beginning was great. very morbid and lonely look on things... but then all those naive fat people was just so weird but funny lol . Favorite part of the movie has to be when the ship tilts and all the fat people fall off their chairs and go rolling along on the floor like big fat helpless babies lol. omg funny... but kinda sad too when I think about it :/ oh and I liked the little indestructible cockroach, and the kickbutt attitude of the girl robot was funny cute robots + cute robot love + cute cockroach + massively obese and lazy people = funnyz but, desolate trashed earth + lonely little robot + super fat people in space = sad outlook on the future besides being funny, it taught a good lesson too

What surprised me the most was the amount of emotion that could be understood without the use of words. I mean, there's no dialogue through half of the movie. I thought it was fascinating and I'd watch it again and again and again. I think some people just wanted more action when it's not really necessary. |

Re: WALL-E
great movie
surprisingly a lot of adult themes in it, watching a kiddie movie when you're old is fun because you notice things like that on the thread note, Walle-E kicks ass so go and see it, but you have to see it with a girl or else you are gay |

Re: WALL-E
Holy damn, #9 on IMDB's Top 250. Usually, new movies only reach as high as 50 or so before falling back down.

Re: WALL-E
A Bug's Life
However, there is Antz, which is not Pixar. EDIT: If Bug's Life is your favorite pixar film you need to rethink your life.

Re: WALL-E
Yeah... I absolutely loved the clever mixture of real-life clips such as the dancing scene Wall-E was obsessed with or the CEO of BnL's messages. The depiction of our future world... rofl.
brb going to plant some pizza edit: oh yeah and what is up with all these animated space movies recently... after Wall-E there's gonna be Space Chimps and Fly Me to the Moon o_O Last edited by smartdude1212; 06-30-2008 at 06:22 AM.. |

Uh, hands down my favorite film this year. I saw it twice, plan on seeing it again.
EDIT: It almost made me cry several times.

Re: WALL-E
How did the humans manage to procreate for the 700 years?

Re: WALL-E
Uh, when everything is taken care of for you, I would assume that the robots would also "stay the course" and help with artificial insemination. Just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen. I mean, the main objective was to propogate the human race.

Re: WALL-E
I would assume the life span would be greatly increased when you have a fully automated health system. I'll take a look at the years at the bottom of the screen next time I see it, but I do think it's possible within the confines of the movie.

I wanna see it. I can't imagine anything too much better than Ratatoullie(?), since that was such an amazing movie.

Re: WALL-E
Zero Gravity greatly reduces the strain put on your body, and living your entire life in space would almost double your lifespan. Although that theory wouldn't work because gravity is implemented on the ship.

Re: WALL-E
Those were the years that they actively captained the ship, not the date of birth to death. So it's kind of likely that 5 captains would sustain the ship for 700 or so years. But I will most certainly try.

Re: WALL-E
I loved wall-e. It was cute. And the possibilty of that happening one day is true. =/ though i was to be one of those people id be on the track field everyday. rofl. "we have a track field?" , "I never knew we had a pool" roflmao. It had mulitple meanings, though the one that stuck out the most was all the pollution on earth. And it was addressing a real life problem that is happening today. Though i doubt we ever have to live in space because of pollution on earth, more like live in space for the fun of it.
---------- Anyways one thing that annoyed me was how wall-e kept calling ev, eva =/ --------- if i could i would give wall-e two thumbs up. suggest you go see it. Just cause its rated G doesn't mean its not worth going to see. =)
