Sonata should have been cut right after the trill, that long pause of no notes.... rest is useless..

Agreed. Today, I was playing Guitar vs. Piano. Even though it was only like 3:00 +/- 30 seconds, it felt incredibly long. I would have enjoyed it much more if not for the tedious length.

I disagree, because the song ends nicely with the final cadence. Cutting that out would sound incomplete.

Sonata shouldn't be cut, but BPM changes of the original MIDI aren't very good for this game IMO.

Why are there jacks in the streams in the beginning of Sonata?
It's the only part of the damn file I can't AAA is those minijacks in the beginning -_-

They are the products of pitch relevancy, but placed a bit inconsistently.

Are they jack frames? If they are what kind of frame.

Also my favorite songs are: (not in order)

Robotix
Sympathizer
July
Epidermis
Hybrid
Szamar Madar
Guitar vs. Piano
Death Piano
Frictional Nevada
Eclipse (Solar)
Strangeprogram
Games We Played Part 1-5
BB Evolution
Final Fantasy The Final Battle
Lunar Saturation
Tribal Style
Crowdpleaser
Turbulence
M.A.M.A.
Vertex BETA

There is a whole lot more than that but that's all I could put.

I'd say 300, Tokyo Banging, and Square, Volume, and Amplitude all tie for best file.

For Pure in Asia, I'm sure I hear lots more notes in the guitar solo, yet it's a constant 16th stream until drums kick in. Why is that? Shouldn't there be more 32nds/24ths where appropriate?

I wish there was a way to make a fun stepfile without cutting songs... despite the repetition, I hate cut songs... -_-;

EDIT:Full title is Absolute Purification ~ Pure in Asia (literal translation = Purification to the Point of Inexistence ~ Pure in Asia)

EDIT2: Played Plain in Asia for the first time =)

Well, there are 32nds with the guitar (no 24ths other than the one part I put in)
The 32nds are in similar if not the exact same places as they are in Plain in Asia (which any self respecting player should have the SM file of). However, they are much less prevalent sounds in this song than the are in Plain in Asia, and much less audible than the loud percussion 32nds which I did step. Much like the solo 32nds, there are actually much softer percussion 32nds throughout which I also chose not to step. Overall, much of it was difficulty engineering.

Played the new tourny songs: Plain in Asia was a pretty good behanjc file, not the best but still ok. I didn't like Scythe of 13 at all... I felt like I was playing stepdude's from the F5/F4 pack with a few different patterns, although I guess ASK songs are so generic and similar that you really only can step them one way >.>

R3 review.

[Haruka]

AC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>=====
TL >>>>>>>>>>>>>=======
FN >>>>>>>>>>>>>=======

swingy FF5 song remix, overall accurate rhythms but seems some 16ths (with swing rhythm) aren't needed.
jumps are PR.

[Delta Beat]

AC >>>>>>>>>>>>>=======
TL >>>>>>>>>>>>========
FN >>>>>>>>>>>>>=======

Song is a bit repetitive, rap section is amusing though.
Felt it lacks jumps on some part, PR are ok at some parts, could be better tho.

[Rumia]

AC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>======
TL >>>>>>>>>>>>========
FN >>>>>>>>>>>>>=======

rhythms are almost accurate for the concept of the file, I personally want different style though.
some 24ths/streams with piano could be more PR.

[Pure in Asia]

AC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>======
TL >>>>>>>>>>>>>>======
FN >>>>>>>>>>>>>>======

fun file. a bit inconsistent in jump placement/layering, want some 32nds on guitar solo personally.
seems some split rhyrhms aren't needed (weird).

[Scythe of 13]

AC >>>>>>>>>>==========
TL >>>>>>>>>>>=========
FN >>>>>>>>>>>>>=======

8th jumpy parts are fun, although the last one doesn't fit the music.
song cut was preferable, rhythms/layering are mostly inconsistent, stream pattern/PR could be better.

Wow, I completely forgot this song was in queue >.<

Scythe was prolly my 3rd song stepped, and was stepped back when there were still framers. It prolly isn't a FMO now that they're not here...

Oh well. No more of my files to go ingame for people to complain about >.<

I'm actually quite disappointed in behan's recent files. They could be stepped much better. :/
