Stepmania help!!

I just recently downloaded Sm 3.95. I went to put my songs ( I got alot) in the folder. so I did that blahblahblah and then I opened up stepmania and it is saying i have 0 songs in the game. I even tried deleting the songs folder and replacing it with my old songs folder (which has all my songs in it) and it still didint work. I tried putting just 1 file in songs folder and yet again still not luck. Can anyone help me out with this. I really want to play smo and have my theme and all. And SM 4.0 is just terrible.

Put all your songs in the song folder that came with sm 3.95. Then go to options and click reload songs. That should work.

Tried that now and like 10 minutes ago. Still not working.
this really f'uking stupid, there no reason why it shouldn't work.

Oh hi.

Go in your stepmania folder and look for something like this.

<insert drive here>\Stepmania\Data\stepmania.ini

In the notepad-ish file on 2nd line you can see this:

AdditionalSongFolders=

Put the link to where your song folder is like D:\StepMania\Songs

Like that:

AdditionalSongFolders=D:\StepMania\Songs

Reload the game.

His directory looked like this:

C:\Program Files\StepMania CVS\Songs\Songs\FFR FILES\(Rebirth) Exciting Hyper Highspeed Star v2

So, I told him to cut his packs and put them into the first song folder. You shouldn't cut and paste your previous songs folder into the new songs folder. You should replace your new songs folder with your old one.

C:\Program Files\StepMania CVS\Songs\\FFR FILES\(Rebirth) Exciting Hyper Highspeed Star v2

Do the same with all other packs.

Problem solved.

Learn some basic computer terminology please. Not knowing what a directory is, is pretty embarrassing.
