"If you tell the truth then your lying. Why you ask? Because there is no such thing as the truth. Truth is merely a sight that humans believe in order to think they KNOW something, but of course they fail to understand that they do not and therefore will never find out that, it is in fact, irrelevant to this world."
Of course I am a thinkish person. I hope you like >.<.

One could say your quote is not true because of what your quote says, but how could what we think we know not be relevant to this world?

Here is a better one, and I hope it is taken seriously.

because no one knows what "Truth" truly is. Do you know what Truth is?
And yes I did notice the grammatical errors in it. That was the whole point in the quote lol >.<

I do know what truth is, and I think you do too since you used truly in your sentence, and you're making statements as if they are true statements.

Depending on the circumstances of course. you could know the truth about what YOU know. But what is truth? In my quote I do say that I know or hint towards knowing what it is. But do I truly mean that?

Making a topic because you thought up a "quote" does not go anywhere.
Especially not Literature.

Truth is an arbitrary term set up by the limits of our perception and the interpretation of our perception. Without an arbitrary foundation to our knowledge, we cannot progress. We must believe that everything we perceive is true.
Do you know the story about the girl who saw everything upside down, but no one realized because everything was true to her that way? It's hard to understand this concept for some people. She learned and memorized every fact recognized by sight in the way that everyone with a normal vision would learn it. An A to us would be an upside down A to her, but if she sees an upside down A, we would be seeing a right side up A, so we would call it the same A. (Confusing, but bare with me...) In other words, unless if another person saw through her vision, no one would've been able to tell that she was indeed seeing the universe in an upside down fashion compared to ours. In the same way, what I perceive may be different from what others perceive, but we learn and condition ourselves so that we recognize the objected (percepted differently by the individual) in the same way. Truth is an arbitrary term created for the foundation of our knowledge and its coherence to humans worldwide. EDIT: I'm talking about truth prevalent to the idea of differing beliefs and concept. Also, what Tokzic said.

Tell me gravity isn't real, and it's just a 'sight' so I can think it's true.

The truth is, you need to work on your English.
"It's not what you say, it's how you say it." Right? All public speakers would agree to this. Misspellings, random capitalizations, emoticons, and grammar errors do nothing to benefit your "higher-level thinking". Regardless, this isn't Literature material. I know Devonin kicked you out of Critical Thinking, but this isn't the answer either. |
