Does your internet security block google? You can search for proxies there.

could always hit www.proxy.org
I use that every now and then, but if I really need some anonymity I use tor/vidalia, but they're downloaded clients.

If they block by search results or categories like the ones I'm used to, every one of those should be blocked under Remote Access, and Anonymizers/Web Proxy. Even searching for it on google is dissalowed at my school, not to mention you can't access Control Panel, internet options, or install or open downloads. Good thing they don't block FFR :O

They block FFR at my school, and with the mirrors temporarily out, no FFR for me when I have free time. I just get to play stupid "Maevis Beacn Teaches Typing." Meh.
I found one good proxy though, www.youngcheese.com. Unfortunately, all flash based things or anything of the sort gets disabled, so once again, FFR is out of the question. Plus, they even have it blocked so you can't search 'Proxy' or anything to get around the blockers on any search engine. My school sucks. Plus its super ghetto with like cocaine everywhere and girls piercing themselves in the bathroom during passing time. I'm gonna sign up for that e-mail of proxy's, thanks for that Marissa. |

In some schools, it's pointless. My school had all their tech 2 classes search "Proxy" on all of the search engines and block any proxy site for 2 weeks. And they have the Librarian check all of the computers at school and block a site that has no educational purposes or has flash script or is a popular internet hangout OR will help too much with school work. There are no exceptions (with some of MSNBC, PBS, CNN, Google, Yahoo! and all of AOL & Photobucket blocked).

The thing about my school is that it's security is controlled by our city (Catholic) school board. What I have noticed though is that most proxies ending with .info are more proned to work that .com or .org, for example.
The 2 that I've been using lately are: http://www.he.isweird.info http://www.hiddenvault.info Until those get blocked for me, I won't be submitting more. ![]()

The problem with searching for proxy on a school network connection is that usually they are smart enough to block any page with the term proxy on it. I know thats what my old school did.
Besides, there's always http://www.studenteducation.net |
