Making mistakes is fine, but 1) they have to be punished for running away from home, 2) they could have been killed, it's the parents' responsibility to keep their children safe in whatever (legal) way they see fit. If I were in their shoes, I'd probably never let them see each other without parental supervision, but that's just me.

Want to run? Go for it .. but with HIS car, HIS money and things HE has purchased. Somehow I doubt anything he took with him was on HIS dime.

Though I do wonder if the girl is the only bipolar one in the bunch

Their reason was that the girl looked like a ****ing hambeast and they were only looking out for his best interests. If I saw that my son was going out with that monster I would have had them separated too.

There is no good reason for what they did. Being a ****ing idiot in "love" is not a good reason to do anything.

I am sure they understand why they did it and I think that teenagers (sorry to those who are right now) these days are taking things too seriously and over-reacting to a lot of things. I'm not trying to say that i'm so much better or anything, (I am mid twenties) but has anyone else noticed that kids are growing up a lot faster these days??

I don't even think they know what love feels like... I thought I was in love in high school, but I realized that it isn't so and I am pretty sure that is what they are going through right now too.

My parents told me the same thing about some girl I dated, but I didnt run away. Thats completely idiotic to think that at 15 you could live out your little dreamy getaway with your ****ing nasty girlfriend by stealing your parents car and driving to california with 700 dollars and an xbox.
