Max 300 VS. Maxx Unlimited

Just because something has been AAA'd a billion times compared to another song doesn't have anything to do with difficulty.
MaxX Unlimited and Max 300 are both easy.
And when I mean easy, just take a look at PIU. PIU steps make DDR look like childs play.
But to actually get into the reasons why MaxX is harder than 300, it's very simple.
First of all, the jumps. Max 300 has almost virtually none of these (the groove radar will say the same). Jumps require 2 feet, instead of one. It's like comparing doubles to single. Anyhow, aswell to that, there is a lot more technicality. Aswell, it's faster (speeds up to 320). It slows down in one part, which makes it more difficult to PA (those gallops are annoying as hell).

But yeah, MaxX is the second hardest song in the game.
PSM oni is so much harder. Those crossovers going at 290bpm? Christ, it's just 10bpm short of max 300, but these are crossovers, and a lot of them being thrown at you in 4 different ways. Plus the slow down? That comes right at the end, after a painstaking amount of steps thrown in your direction at high speeds. Yeah, it's only 10 BPM, but that's not too much of a difference to say MaxX is harder. PSM Oni is obviously harder.
A real debate is more like Legend of Max vs. MaxX Unlimited. Both have their points to take.. LoM is really fast, and the beginning has really retarded streams (ugh), and MaxX has those damn jumps.. combined with fast streams. Although it can probably be said LoM is easier.. it's still hard to judge that. They're both fairly close in difficulty.

Sure Max300 has a little more stream and voltage, but who gives a shit, it's all about chaos, air, and freeze, and I'm seeing a lot of that for MaxxU

I find Maxx Unlimited easier.

Why? Technical stuff is easy for me. I can AA Exotic Ethnic. Max 300 is much more stamina draining though. It's not till the end that maxx unlimited gets tough. Since stamina is a much bigger issue than downright difficulty for me Maxx Unlimited comes off as being easier.

I can clear MaxX Unlimited consistently. I cannot clear MAX300 consistently.

MaxX Unlimtied is more technique oriented, while 300 is stamina oriented, explaining the higher number of AAAs on 300.

For me, though, technique is easier than stamina, and thus Unlimited is the easier of the two.

it depemds on who the hell you are and how good you are at the game. the game states that MAXX is harder. i can pass that. I wouldnt last 30 seconds on max 300 unless its on standard.

Max X Unlimited is much harder in my part.. mostly in Max300 u just keep steping and all, Max XU though is tough..

i think that max 300 is easier then max unlimited. i can read the step in 300 aot easier but they do have many tricky parts. But unlimited is hard because it doesn't play as smooth as 300 u have to move more.

maxx unlimited is harder to me... i have no problem with stamina on the max songs, the problem is reading... unlimited has some very difficult steps... i can pass 300 on heavy, and get to the freezes/jumps in the last 20 seconds of unlimited... both are great songs though >.<

MaxX Unlimited is definately harder, no matter what you say. Those crazy jumps are impossible to nail. The 16 1/8 note runs are easy to mail, as long as you can read it. Max 300 is hard, but MaxX Unlimmy is harder.

MaxX Unlimited is by far the hardest of the first three Max songs. The legend of Max also comes nowhere close to being as hard as Unlimited. LOM is straight forward, and you can sight read and get a B, assuming you have passed the previous two Max songs.

On the other hand, Max.(Period) on Oni takes the cake, and is the hardest. It's also harder than PSM Oni (hard to believe, isn't it?). Since that reaches 600 BMP.

And this comment goes for the person in the beginning who claims only one person has AAA'd MaxX Unlimited, I beg to differ. Kobayan has AAA'd MaxX Unlimited countless times, and has also AAA'd Unlimited on Double. In addition, I have also AAA'd MaxX Unlimited on Heavy, and also have video footage to prove it. Hell, I've AAA'd all the Max songs except for Max.(Period), which I have only AA'd. But that's my two cents, I duno why this conversation happened in the first place. Max 300 is only hard because of its swarmed 8th notes at that speed.
