Or you guys could just stop arguing. Point, I re-submitted only b/c I just needed to delete the extra difficulty, so therefore I mentioned it. I like having people review whatever works I finish even after some kind of release or submission (i.e. lyrics, music, simfiles, art, scores, etc.). Therefore I would kindly ask that you stop arguing over an issue that wasn't rude or important whatsoever.

kthnxbai.

sorry for the repeat post: my internet was being laggy as shatmeister.

revolution: my initial comment was only asking why you'd submit to me if you still wanted people to test it. if you want people to test it, you aren't 100% sure it's perfect, or you want confirmation. so get people to test it, THEN submit it. instead of submitting it, having people test it, then re-submitting it. you'd be shocked how many people will send me 2 or 3 versions of the same file within a 24-48 hour period... i don't enjoy it.

and sequal... my initial question to revolution was rhetorical. i figured that would be obvious. also, if you have an issue with me, your best bet is to take it up with me privately... i tend to respond negatively when provoked publicly.

My first submission and my first stepfile, ELECTRO RUSH X8 by OSTER Project, Electronica style
Tested/Commented on by i love you. No bpm/offset defects. May be 3 framers.
Oni could be considered FMO.
Heavy could be considered VC to FMO.
Standard could be considered C to VC.
Light could be considered VD.
Beginner could be considered T.
I love my steps, but I suck at making stepfiles. They're always overstepped. I want to get one through, so I tried understepping my norm. I've also made steps for about 60 other OSTER Project songs, including PianoXForte. If this goes through, I'll send the rest, starting with FINAL STEP. I'd also like to send Northern Lights by 403, so it becomes a skill token for Southern Cross. YAY XD.

Random question. Why is Cantata called Adult's Sketchbook?

Tass: I got that, and as I stated originally I was doing it for further reviews, I was confident that it was 100% of my abilities, and for my first stepfile I thought people gave it good reviews. But I always like to have more members of the stepping community to give further reviews. Especially because I was going to make revisions to make a version for stepmania as well.

Sequal: I appreciate that you actually listened (unlike many fags on these forums that think they're God or something...) and yeah, discussions/debates are sometimes good to clear things up.

Midday, sorry to burst your bubble, but chances are, if it's your first file, it's not going in. Back in the day, maybe, but the judges are a lot stricter now, and a ton of good steppers are submitting OSTER Project songs, so there's also the competition factor.

Scottish already sent in a Piano Forte file. His file is extremely well-synced, so the only you can beat him is if your placement is better, which I highly doubt (no offense).

rofl Sequal wow

EDIT: I think you meant your first FFR file, not your first file? I played your file in the database and it was slightly better than expected. You still have a lot of work to do, but I see potential.

Red face Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread

Mii, on second thought, I'll just enjoy whats here. I have all the files I'll ever need in stepmania now anyways. (Woot 1000 songs stepped!) I love for gurus only, anime OPs, EDs, and OSTER Project combined lol.

Quite frankly, I never thought it would go in. i love you told me it needed a lot of work. It didn't even make it to Tass lol.

No, this is the first stepfile I ever made, from probably around 3 weeks ago, when I first got stepmania after hardboiledovaries told me how to make stepfiles. I just dug it up when I found out how to send it for ffr consideration, because it was one of the only stepfiles that I remembered without freezes, bombs, hands, quads or jacks. Now I have 1000 stepped mp3s. (Most of them are resyncs/steps of otakusdream though.)

Nyahaha, sorry to burst your bubble, but that potential is going to rot here. I'd rather make more songs with average stepfiles than make fewer songs with perfect stepfiles. There are a lot more anime OPs and EDs waiting to be stepped. Besides, most of my stepfiles have hands, quads, bombs, and freezes, which make them furthermore fun. All of them are level 13 to 15 gurus in my standards. (Only 3 songs are like Vertex BETA vrofl) XD

Well, okay, I just have a question. I was looking around the forums and saw how chardish's thread about making BG's for certain songs didn't go too well. Well... just a curious question, and if it has been answered, sorry, I didn't see. Can we include a BG if we wanted to in our sent file, then whenever it DOES get accepted, you guys judge the BG if it is FFR appropriate or not? Just something that came up, heh.

I have the same question. My image is mostly black, and nearly all of the stuff is on the sides, so I don't see why this should be a problem. Tass did say however, that he didn't know how to add images.

Aw, that really sucks. I don't agree with your way of thinking, but hey, if that's what you want to do, fine. Personally, I prefer perfecting my files because making good files shows that you care about your work, that you're focused, and you have a good grasp of the knowledge needed to step well. Also, the best known and most highly-respected stepartists are known because their files are well done, not because they have a lot. Of course, if you can make good files quickly, that's a different story, but generally, high output means lower quality.

They're perfect enough for me, and my stepmania. I don't see much of a difference between them and r1. They're not offsync, and they're AAA able so I'm good with that (I can't AAAA some of them skillwise but...). I mean, I think all of them are better than the stepfiles like Mou Uta Shika Kikoenai (The offset is off by like half a second...?) and the old stepfiles (Like Revolutionary Etude, Caprice, Too Tight, Massive (ffr remix), etc.).

Well that's cause the old files suck. The newer ones start to get better, so if you're going to judge a file, compare it to the newer ones.

Sometimes a file is just off-sync because of gap technical problems and stuff. Judge the step chart, not the sync.

I still think this is dumb. What if I want a widget for my music but I'm not a part of MySpace and my music isn't rock?

'EXTREME CONTEMPLATION' (-_-;;;; ) I don't see much of a difference, except for the fact that mine are full of jumping 3framers, but as long as those are in sync, I don't have a problem with them. Maybe you could tell me by describing my ELECTRO RUSH X8. The offset on my stepmania is perfectly fine, but the one in the db is late or early (I forget).

Mou Uta Shika Kikoenai has a good stepchart. I won't be AAAing it anytime soon though... (-_-; ).

BGs are a no-no for 2nd style.

as for widgets... when a file gets into R1, a widget is auto-generated. every single artist in FFR has their own widget and corresponding code.
