To be quite honest I really don't think I dislike maple.. I'm definitely just in a hole for I/L mages. If I could be getting exp like Chris seems to be getting (albeit, Chris has ****ing amazing gear,) I would definitely play again. That hasn't magically happened for i/l, has it?

Eric, you'll prolly still level up faster than anybody 100+. And you have more to look forward to when leveling than Chris does. I mean, what, are you finishing off Dragon or Doom right now, Chris? I certainly wouldn't be looking forward to that ****. I remember in my 70s though I was ****ing pumped cuz every level meant more range, which meant more sniping spots, plus I was getting ridiculously strong. Too bad now I just have Compo to look forward to, which is really only so I can get a ZHelm since it's weak as **** and will only beat FA sometimes when it's like level 25. =\

And yeah, I'm leveling Doom now. The reason I was leveling so much was fast and easy exp from Dreamy Ghosts, competition from Bonk, and getting past Oni. I've passed Bonk (by 1 level) and Oni (by 2 levels). The only real motivation I've got now is to finish up 3rd job and to get 5 more magic attack every level.

That said, Poison Brace is gotten at about level 50, while Fire Arrow and Thunderbolt are both maxed EARLY in 2nd job. Poison Brace is made obsolete within about 15-20 levels of maxing it, while Fire arrow takes nearly 100 levels on an ideal build. Thunderbolt is never completely obsolete. And med is obsolete too. And MP eater only saves money (same as med), so it can be skipped if you want too.

Yes, i guess thunderbolt is irreplaceable, but my point was that some skills should be used, even if they were replaced.

Brace, however, is really quickly and easily replaced, it doesn't do that well for what it is, and it takes points away from more useful things. Personally, I believe Slow, Med AND Teleport are all essential. I have limited Use space, so Med is essential to me, too (not just for money, the space that the elixirs would take would be painful). About the only skill I have points in that I don't use often is Bolt, and that's only because I've just about reached the point where I can spam Claw and still gain MP over time, so the lower cost isn't worth it anymore. Getting skills for the short term is a waste. EDIT: Oh yeah, and Thunderbolt is actually stronger than Ice Strike because of its speed. Smart IL mages use it at Vikings whenever possible.

How much are 8 dex gold drop earrings worth? And how much do you think a clean metus will be -_- I'm having EXTREME difficulties with prices because I haven't played in so long. Any help =/?

I honestly wouldn't even buy a Metus; from what I can tell, Metus prices are ridiculously high due to their rarity. For the same amount of money, you can probably get a much better Arund. I got a 101/3 hinkel for 55 mil, I recall someone buying a clean 90 attack Metus for 30 mil. Basically, i wouldnt bother with a Metus until prices drop. 8 dex earrings were like 25 mil in windia 1 week ago, with prices constantly dropping.

Why would high level bows be expensive? Logic would indicate that the supply of high level bows would outweigh the demand for high level bows.
Also, a dex earring isn't quite as important for a bowman as a thief or warrior, I'd think (thief need for weapon requirement, warriors hurting for more accuracy). Yeah, a tiny bit more attack, but I'd guess that you can easily get by without one. In fact, wouldn't you be better off investing the money in other gear before a dex earring?

Thing is, I don't know what else I can improve that won't be a significant cost.
Boots that I want that are 11 dex are 30-40 mil 11 att+ wgs are how much? I have a 9 att cordon which is the equivalent of a 10 wg. I have a 6 dex icarus 2. It wouldn't be worth it to buy an 8 or 10 dex for 20 mil more, and I don't think it would be worth it to buy a pink cape for 50 mil -_- My bow... isn't great but it's manageable. And my earrings give no bonus at all. I mostly wanted the metus for the looks since I don't intend on playing that often. People have been saying that prices for metuses will go down because monsters in the future will drop them? Should I just wait and hold on to my crappy arund? Thing is, I have the str gear to equip the metus, but I also have dex gear for power if I stick with the arund so it's like my safety you could say. Bahhh -_- O_o

30-40 mil for 11 dex shoes? I got a 9 dex for 7.5 mil, which was extremely cheap, but i doubt 11 dex shoes are 40 mil.
Yellow capes/Pink capes made dex capes cheap. You could pick up a 2 attack (prices went down, i see one for 20 mil clean) or 10+ dex yellow cape for not too much. Oh, and zhelms are 50 mil in scania. Yay for losing 35 mil on zhelm price drops. |
