I wasn't even fighting. I was pulling.
If I had been pulling and killing, I would have gotten much better exp, but I didn't want to piss off Fangblade by taking a bunch of kills. I know I'd be pissed if some random player came into my channel looking for a party and I took him in and he ended up taking a bunch of my kills.

Awh, I use to love Maple Story. My computer can't handle it.
![]() Pretty soon they are going to have like 300 levels! So I guess I'm glad I stopped now? Whateverr. |

Hmm. So word has it that when the next WoW expansion pack comes out, the experience needed to level between 20 and 60 will be significantly reduced, and quests will give more XP. Maple could significantly benefit from something like this.

If you played still you'd notice that the recent quests are very good experience for lower levels and new monsters for LOWER LEVELS ARE COMING OUT ALL OF THE TIME.

The maximum amount of time per level is ~5 hours. And the majority is far less than that.
I don't know why you people complain |

The weird thing is, it's like 5 hours per level on WoW from a very early level, but for some reason it's so much more tolerable. I guess I just never find myself grinding. Or even if I am "grinding," it happens with a group, which is something you really don't get until high levels in Maple. It's hard to explain.

The reason MS is "so boring" compared to WoW for a lot of people is simple. The gameplay in MS is a bit more involved, but the MS engine doesn't allow for very complex quests. WoW or GW can have quests that are a bit more involved, so while you're doing them it's less like work and more like "oh boy this quest is fun!" In MS, the only decent quests are party/guild quests, and those are horribly limited (both in the level restrictions and the 1 per channel thing). I mean, 4 per channel at Kerning, 6 per channel at Ludi, let's say 12 per channel in Guild PQ (I dunno how many is the max, but getting 12 guild members in seems like enough). Only 19*(4+6+12) = 418 people can PQ at once. There are tens of thousands playing MS at once, I'd wager. That's pretty sad. =(
But yeah, since there's nothing to do but fight monsters for exp, people go nuts with it and treat it like they HAVE to kill at the optimal rate. Really, there's no reason not to slow down and enjoy the killing of enemies. It IS a game, after all. =\

What about those foxes in KFT? And there are those green frog things in kinoko village (do they call it mushroom town in GMS? Dunno haha)
Yeah anyways, I'm going to play jms again but the client is taking a LONG time to load. Says it's going to take 20 hours. Is anybody else going to play because if so, I'll upload it to rapidshare or something for everyone else =] Just let me know. *looks at Noah* O_o

Actually, a lot of FPs do Poison Brace these days, and as long as their magical accuracy is high enough, it doesn't matter how strong the monster is. Think of mist. Don't you expect 8x FPs to be at high level Leafre areas as soon as they're available?

And by green frog things, do you mean the kappas in Pine Forest (in the map before Dreamy Ghost/hime and Black Crow/Tengu)? I think they're pretty good for SOMEONE, I just have no idea what class or level range that would be.

That's what I mean, at 5X you'd have a hard time hitting them. I'm pretty sure 6X even has a hard time hitting them. I mean, that's why they're there instead of at Grims or sharks or something better.

It seems like you would have to have pretty decent brace, which is a waste of points. I'd rather max Slow as a f/p mage =/ Level 1 brace just doesn't seem like it would cut it. And how would you finish them off? With claw? I can't even hit monsters 6x and i'm 4x right now. -_-

Cam, if you can hit them with Brace, you can hit them with anything else. Claw would be the best choice, though, since it's 2 hits in one, and thus, double the chances to do a finishing shot.
Also, you'd need like 28 Brace for it to be worthwhile, cuz it'd only be fast if you went around hitting every DT a couple times until it was poisoned and then moving on.

12 MP eater 28 brace. Poison brace and Magic claw can be used to finish them off. Despite the fact that you miss a lot at 5x, the 1300 or so exp makes up for that. |
